Neverwinter is the latest game to plan its returning Halloween event, with the Masquerade of Liars coming this week and rewards including a new pet.
The event begins on Thursday, October 21st and will run through November 4th. Players will have a few options to get into the festivities and claim some rewards, whether by questing , obtaining some masks and costumes, or going all out earning Masquerade tokens to trade for spooky loot items. The new highlight item this year is the Mini Simon vanity pet, which will let you take a bit of the spooky holiday with you as long as he's by your side.
The daily quests involve a chain of activities to complete. Get some Liar's Charms from pumpkins you find or the old fashioned way, as drops from enemies you kill. Once you've stocked up on charms, you'll have to find Masquerade Illusionists to trade with, then trade those charms again with someone else to ultimately score Illusionist Bags.
Open those up and you'll get tokens, refinement items for an Illusionist's Mask, and maybe even bonuses. If you complete the mask, you'll be able to exchange it for an Empowered Illusionist Mask artifact. There's also a lore related series of daily quests during the event that will get you tokens as well. And if you're looking to jump in with a head start, Masquerade tokens will be sold in the Zen market.
Want to take more away with you, a Splinters Companion will be obtainable, as well as the Enchanted Broom mount. To get one of these mounts, you'll have to get the three pieces it was broken into and make your way to reforging it.
