Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker: Black Mage Analysis - BIGGER EXPLOSIONS? | Media Tour

A lot of changes are headed down the pipe in Final Fantasy 14. For all of you black mage players out there, you just happen to be in luck, as Victoria Rose is here to show you the new changes that will affect the Black Mage. Victoria gets down and dirty with a DPS rotation that will help new and veteran Black Mage players get up to speed quickly.

The Endwalker Media Tour was an exciting experience for Victoria, and as a Black Mage purist, she was excited to dive in to the changes and provide an in depth analysis on how players will want to adapt their playstyle. Some notable tips include Enochian transitioning to a trait, and Aspect Mastery will now become a level one trait.

Later in the video Victoria breaks down the potency comparison between the ability Paradox, and the other abilities like Blizzard 3, Fire 3, Flare, Ice and Fire 4, Despair, Foul and Xenoglossy. It’s true that Paradox’s use cannot be understated and weaving it into your rotations is paramount for excellent DPS. To that end, Victoria will show Black Mage players a simple rotation to keep pumping out the damage with an early Endwalker rotation, and one at level 90. These changes and rotations, as Victoria notes, will be significant for Black Mage players, and she can’t wait for the update to hit the live servers.

You can check out more coverage of the Media Tour with some of Victoria’s latest articles stemming from the event, which includes an interview with famed game director Naoki Yoshida, a relaxing tour of a new area Sharlayan, and her thoughts on the enormity of Endwalker after it was detailed by the development team.  Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker will release November 23rd on PlayStation 4|5, PC, and MacOS.

This article is based on play of an in-development build of FINAL FANTASY XIV: Endwalker, and content in the final version is subject to change.
