Developer Cococucumber has announced that turn-based adventure Echo Generation will launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on October 21.

The game takes place in the quiet suburb of Maple Town in the Summer of 1993, our hero Dylan and his friends are getting ready to shoot an alien sci-fi movie. That is until a mysterious object falls from the sky, crashing into the nearby cornfield and bringing down a host of unusual happenings. Naturally, the parents don’t believe anything’s wrong, so it’s up to Dylan and his friends to save the day and the town.

With a party featuring Dylan, his little sister and their pets you’ll explore the local suburb, local VHS store and more to uncover clues. You’ll also have to fight enemies like mutant rat wolves, robots and junkyard monsters. Chatting to the neighbours, including city dwellers and even squirrels, you’ll uncover a supernatural conspiracy.

There’s certainly an air of Netflix’s Stranger Things around proceedings. The voxel based visuals will be complimented by a synthwave soundtrack, and will run in 4K 60FPS on Xbox Series X.  The game will also be available from launch on Xbox Game Pass on PC and Console.
