Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has already had many crossovers, but this may be the most dizzying one yet. Super Monkey Ball's AiAi has rolled into Fall Guys Season 5.

Since 2020, Fall Guys had provided millions of gamers with blood-pumping, platforming mayhem. Furthermore, the titular Fall Guys have become one of gaming's most endearing mascots; their bean-like design, large appendages, and beady eyes make them perfect candidates for silly video game crossovers. Recently, Fall Guys collaborated with Kena: Bridge of Spirts, bringing both Rot and Kena skins to the game for players to purchase. The game's continued supply of character crossovers is a big factor of the game's continued success, as Fall Guys has become the most downloaded PS Plus game according to Guinness.

With a new Twitter post, Fall Guys announced that Super Monkey Ball's AiAi has come to the game. AiAi is the main character of the Super Monkey Ball franchise, who is simply a monkey wearing an orange t-shirt with a large "A" stamped on the front. The animation shows a Fall Guy in the AiAi skin, proudly raising his fist, while in the background, a purple Fall Guy prepares to be flattened by a rolling yellow Fall Guy. As with other Fall Guys costumes, besides his eyebrows and cheeks, AiAi's face is cutout in a circle, with the Fall Guy's eyes staring through.

Despite the tease of one of the Fall Guys in the Super Monkey Ball ball, it appears that it is only just that, a tease. Currently, the only crossover that Fall Guys is having with Super Monkey Ball is the AiAi costume, and not some further gameplay-related addition. Some fans have replied to Fall Guys, noting what seems to them as a missed opportunity to expand the gameplay, if even for a limited time. Considering Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania has many guest characters, crossing over from a variety of franchises, a Fall Guy may still end up in a monkey ball yet.

As cute and innocent as Fall Guys seems, there is still the unsettling nature of what they are, especially when wearing certain skins. Mediatonic has addressed fan theories in the past, like acknowledging that Fall Guys are disturbingly large. In cases where skins of actual characters, like AiAi, are available, with their faces being totally removed, Fall Guys can be pretty offputting.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available now on PC and PS4, with Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S versions currently in development scheduled to release later this year.
