The HIve faction are about to take center stage once again with next year's Witch Queen expansion for Destiny 2. While heavily hinted at in past seasons, the Hive Queen Savathun has finally made her debut in Season of the Lost, after manipulating events by posing as the Warlock Osiris. While she's encased in ice currently, things are going to get a lot harder for the Vanguard and players as the debut Witch Queen trailer showed that Savathun has seemingly found a way to utilize the Light to create her own Hive Guardians known as the Lucent Brood.

Along with a new expansion, fans have begun expecting a raid to accompany the exprience. While Bungie has already confirmed a new raid located inside of Savathun's Throne World, many fans are under the impression that more classic Destiny 1 raids are also going to be coming back as well. Thanks to the return of the Vault of Glass under the Legends section of the Director, many believe King's Fall to be another good fit for the game, originally serving as the final battle against Savathun's brother Oryx, The Taken King.

A recent Tweet from the official Destiny 2 account has sent the fanbase into a frenzy. The short teaser trailer shows off a conspiracy board tracing Savathun's history, how she gained the abilitity to use the Light, and other links throughout the storyline such as Crow, Osiris, and Mara Sov. Once scene in particular shows off Oryx, though after further examination, fans don't recognize the clip from any place in Destiny.

Over on the Destiny 2 subReddit, one fan known as Wilbsorama has put out a theory that the short clip of Oryx is not from the original Taken King cutscne, but instead has been touched up and re-rendered. The user theorizes that players may see a new side to this moment inside of the Witch Queen, leading many to speculate that this could even be a hint as a remastered version of King's Fall. While not everyone agrees with the theory, instead believing that Bungie just wanted to touch it up for the trailer, many have assumed that King's Fall would be a great way for newer players to better understand why Savathun is such a threat, learning more about her family.

King's Fall remains a beloved raid experience from the first Destiny. Originally introduced as part of The Taken King expansion, it introduced players to Oryx and his massive ship called the Dreadnaught. The area is still looked fondly upon, so much so that fans have been hoping that Bungie would reintroduce the Dreadnaught back into Destiny 2 in a similar way it has done with areas like the Cosmodrome and the Moon.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
