The raids in Destiny 2 act as some of the most intense multiplayer challenges for players to jump into, often requiring a team of six players in order to maintain the required conditions and keep up with the extra enemies. However, fans have often looked for ways to kill Destiny 2's raid bosses solo, and a new video can teach players new to the practice how to challenge a fan-favorite boss on their own.

This new video by YouTuber Esoterickk, a prominent Destiny 2 content creator, goes through the step-by-step process of several bosses in the Last Wish raid, utilizing gear from Season of the Lost. Some of these newer weapons give the player several advantages over previous seasons, although the advantage from the difference between light requirements and actual level become negligible at a certain point.

Players familiar with the raid might already be familiar with several of the steps used to progress between the different boss arenas in Last Wish, such as the Well of Wishes and even the strategies for dealing with each boss in both full and limited parties. For instance, the Tractor Cannon exotic shotgun continues to be used for its ability to stack damage buffs in order to quickly burn the final boss Riven's health down to nothing. However, new mods available with Season of the Lost's new artifact also grant their own specific advantages to attempting the raid solo now as opposed to in older versions of the game.

On top of being able to use the methods shown in the video to solo Riven, Esoterickk also shows how to finish the Queenswalk activity as a solo player as well. This means that players have the ability to earn the completion for the raid while in solo play, giving them the opportunity for the final rewards available for finishing the activity as a whole. At the moment, this can only seemingly be accomplished as Destiny 2's Titan class, as these are the only ones able to output enough damage to get the kill on Riven and survive the Queenswalk alone.

Earlier versions of these encounters have previously been easier to accomplish, as several exploits that players could use have since been patch out of the game. However, there are still enough ways to abuse some of the systems to turn what should have been a six-player activity into something that can be achieved alone. Exploits or not, the video is still an impressive feat from both Esoterickk and the Destiny 2 fan community as a whole for piecing together how to jump into a raid like Last Wish alone and come out alive on the other end.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
