As Genshin Impact players explore the recently added Watatsumi Island, they are bound to encounter one of the many Rotating Cube puzzles found throughout the region. There are a total of ten Rotating Cube puzzles that Genshin Impact players can find throughout Watatsumi Island and the rewards for completing each of the puzzles vary.
For players unfamiliar with the Rotating Cube puzzles, they are completed by striking the cubes in the correct order until a certain pattern is achieved (eg. all cubes facing the same direction, all cubes lit up). While some of the Rotating Cube puzzles will only reward the player with a common chest, others reward exquisite and precious chests. This guide will outline the locations and numeric sequences to solving each of the ten rotating cube puzzles below.
RUIN MACHINE PUZZLE 1 (9 CUBES)
The first puzzle can be found by teleporting to the waypoint east of Bourou Village and proceeding north. After completing the puzzle in the sequence shown below players will receive an exquisite chest.
RUIN MACHINE PUZZLE 2 (9 CUBES)
After completing the Ruin Machine puzzle for the first time, teleport to a different location and then return to the puzzle. When players return to the puzzle Paimon will inform the player that the positions of the cubes have changed. After completing the puzzle for a second time players will receive another exquisite chest.
RUIN MACHINE PUZZLE 3 (9 CUBES)
Return back to the Ruin machine puzzle for a third and final time in order to solve the last variation of the puzzle. When players complete this final variation they will receive a precious chest.
WATATSUMI ISLAND 4 CUBE PUZZLE
Southwest of the Suigetsu Pool region players will find a 4-cube puzzle on top of a plateau. Completing this puzzle will reward players with a common chest.
WATATSUMI ISLAND 5 CUBE PUZZLE
Players will find the next Rotating Cube puzzle northwest of the location of the previous puzzle. Players should note that, unlike previous puzzles which reward chests upon completion, completing this puzzle rewards players with a grapple point to access the Electroculus nearby.
WATATSUMI ISLAND 3 CUBE PUZZLE
Players can find this puzzle on a small island next to the easternmost Watatsumi Island waypoint. Completing the puzzle will reward players with a common chest.
BOUROU VILLAGE 3 CUBE PUZZLE
This 3 cube puzzle is found by the shore south of Bourou Village. Completing the puzzle will reward players with a common chest.
MOUUN SHRINE 8 CUBE PUZZLE
This puzzle can be found by teleporting to the Watasumi Island Statue of the Seven. From the statue, proceed north to find the puzzle in a large field. Players should note that completing this puzzle does not reward a chest. When players complete the puzzle the Electroculus in the center of the field will be freed and will light one of two totems. Players are able to light the second totem by completing the compass puzzle nearby.
SANGONOMIYA SHRINE 4 CUBE PUZZLE
This puzzle is easily accessed by gliding down to it from the Statue of the Seven's location. Players will see that one of the four cubes is blocked by an Electro-Bubble. However, this cube is not required to complete the puzzle. Completing this puzzle rewards players with a common chest.
SANGONOMIYA SHRINE 5 CUBE PUZZLE
The final puzzle is found east of the Sangonomiya Shrine waypoint. Completing the puzzle will reward players with an exquisite chest, and will allow them to unlock the Electro-bubble nearby.
