Overwatch is full of standout character, and Ana’s rocket launcher-wielding daughter Pharah features one of the most unique kits in the hero shooter. However, Overwatch fans rarely get the chance to see her wearing anything other than a bulky suit of armor.

Blizzard has given its characters some casual attire in the past, as one of the standout skins for the Overwatch hero Hanzo shows him wearing a jacket, pants, and shoes. Many have been hoping to see Pharah get a similar skin, though with her moveset requiring her to have the ability of flight, it is hard to imagine a scenario where such a design is possible. With her Lifeguard and Aviator skins likely being the closest players will get, fan art seems like the only chance for fans to see a version of Pharah that is not dressed for some kind of fight.

Fortunately, Reddit user Mayveld has given Pharah fans a look at what the character may wear when she is off duty. Pharah can be seen rocking a plain black top in the design, with her hair tied up like her Summer Games 2021 outfit. The hero’s muscular arms are on full display in the art, while her signature eye tattoo is also visible. Considering that fans rarely get to see Pharah in this light, this piece is special. The fact that it is incredibly well-drawn only adds to its appeal. Unsurprisingly, there were plenty of positive comments on the post, with fans praising the lighting in particular.

While the lighting would be excellent on its own, it is the background that really makes it work so well. Pharah can be seen on the Overwatch map Watchpoint: Gibraltar, a location that features a gorgeous sunset in the background. The Overwatch flag can be seen floating above the Rocket Queen’s head, with Pharah looking content as she stands in the organization’s base of operations. Given Pharah’s past, her being so comfortable at Watchpoint: Gibraltor makes perfect sense.

When Pharah was a child, her dream was to be an Overwatch agent just like her mother. Training her whole life to join the team, she was closing in on her goal when tragedy struck. Overwatch suddenly disbanded, leaving Pharah unable to join the group. While she has since put her skills to use for a security group in Egypt, it is entirely possible that she joins the reformed Overwatch in Overwatch 2’s PvE campaign. As such, fans may eventually get to see an in-game version of Pharah relaxing in Watchpoint: Gibraltar just like she does in this fan art from Mayveld.

With Overwatch 2 seemingly far off, though, it could be a while before fans get to see Pharah’s story progress in a meaningful way. Until then, fans can spend some time showing their appreciation for awesome fan art like this.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
