For as extensive as the open world and attention to detail is in Red Dead Redemption 2, that same sentiment can also be applied to weapon variety. There is a staggering amount of weapons that can be collected throughout Red Dead Redemption 2, such as repeaters, rifles, shotguns, and revolvers. Though, apparently one revolver in particular that was thought to only be attainable at the end of the game can be collected at the very beginning.

Of the many new characters introduced in Red Dead Redemption 2, Micah Bell is easily one of the most hated. Over the course of the entire game, Micah commits numerous reprehensible acts that negatively affect the Van der Linde gang. Something that players may not know is that Micah's revolver can actually be collected by the player at the end of the last mission. However, apparently the gun can also be collected much earlier in the game.

A Reddit user by the name of MarkeeYYY shows an elaborate way to get Micah's revolver in one of the earliest missions in Chapter 1 of Red Dead Redemption 2. By taking the lead in the beginning of the mission, then disarming one of Colm O'Driscoll's men twice and then by leading the enemy NPC all the way to where Micah is fighting, the O'Driscoll will disarm Micah, causing him to drop one of his revolvers. The player can then pick the gun up and keep it in their inventory for the rest of the game.

This is an ingenious method that not many players would think to initially do. Famously, Micah's revolver is only attainable by John Marston, following the events of the final mission in Red Dead Redemption 2's epilogue. After beating the game, the player can go all the way back and pick up the revolver left behind.

It's amazing that players are able to exploit the game mechanics of Red Dead Redemption 2 in such unique ways. The sheer amount of gameplay details in Red Dead Redemption 2 are almost impossible to consider during an initial playthrough. For instance, a lot of players probably didn't know that there were fake beggars in Red Dead Redemption 2.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what else Red Dead Redemption 2 fans will manage to accomplish. The game has already been out for nearly three years and yet players are still managing to find many hidden details and exploits, such as the one with Micah's revolver. Especially considering that Rockstar Games likely didn't intend for players to collect the revolver that quickly.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
