A Plague Tale: Innocence is a memorable horror game, featuring strong-willed characters taking an emotional journey through the Middle Ages in France. It delivers a fresh and unique story paired with well-researched and detailed environments, encouraging fans to re-experience it multiple times.
There are 13 different flowering herbs to discover and collect in certain chapters of the game, which are among the 55 collectibles that reveals more about the world of Amicia and Hugo. There's a touching moment, often shared by the siblings, every time a flowering herb is collected. Collecting each one gives the player the Herbalist Trophy and the Botanist Trophy.
Chapter III: Retribution - Carnations
After exploring the town monastery, go back towards the main entrance. Hugo will spot a ladder connected to a broken window. Climb out and go down to the courtyard. Hugo will recognize the flower and rush to it. Catch up to him, observing the Carnations herbarium collectible. He will put the flower in Amicia's hair.
Chapter IV: The Apprentice - Aquilegia
After arriving at Laurentius' place, the area where Amicia and Hugo pushes the cart towards, head towards the back of his house. Hugo will rush to the Aquilegia herbarium collectible right beside the tree. Follow him to get the scene and the collectible.
Chapter V: The Raven's Spoil - Gladiolus
Further down the path in this chapter, Hugo will find an English Knight shield and show it to Amicia and Lucas. Walk a bit further towards an archway. Before entering, turn left towards the small waterfalls. Turn to the left again to walk uphill, going way back to the lake.
The two will pass a big rock with a chest beside it. Continue straight down ahead to find the Gladiolus herbarium collectible near the edge, and Hugo will put it in Amicia's hair.
Chapter VII: The Path Before Use - Hawthorn
After Amicia finds a way out of the abandoned water mill, she and Hugo will come across an abandoned village. Just before reaching the well, turn to the right and head to the house at the far back. Enter the house, where Hugo will find and recognize the Hawthorn herbarium collectible, putting it in Amicia's hair as always.
Chapter VIII: Our Home - St John's Wort
Upon following Hugo towards the tree, just outside the area of their bedroom, a cutscene will play. Amicia noticed Hugo's condition getting worse. Lucas tells her more about Prima Macula, and that he needs a book called "Sanguinis Itinera," a forbidden book locked away in a University.
Melie offers to take Amicia to the town where the university is, to which she agrees. Hugo agrees to stay with Lucas. After the cutscene, Hugo will be observing St John's Wort herbarium collectible, and puts it in his sister's hair.
Chapter IX: In The Shadow of Ramparts - Lavender
Right after Melie and Amicia arrive to the town where she can find the University, walk until a fallen white tree is noticeable on the left side. This can be spotted before the stone wall. The Lavender herbarium collectible is right beside a big tree.
Since Hugo is not around, Amicia puts it in her own hair instead, because it reminds her of what Hugo would do.
Chapter X: The Way of Roses - Daisy
Players will reach the room where an alchemist and a soldier talk about the Sanguinis Itinera having a red cover. At this point, sneak towards a library, where there will be two guards and a spotlight stand in the area.
Turn to the left and move the spotlight away from the rats, so they can get out of the narrow path. Use the Odoris on the soldiers to distract all the rats. Go towards the narrow path to find the Daisy herbarium collectible, and see Amicia putting it in her hair.
Chapter XI: Alive - Rhododendron
Keep following Rodric until he and Amicia both reach the courtyard through a shortcut. Go down to the inner courtyard through the ladder, and turn right before catching up to Rodric.
Here, players will find the Rhododendron herbarium collectible near a hanging brazier in the red section. Amicia puts it in her hair again, since Hugo is still sleeping.
Chapter XII: All That Remains - Cinquefoils
Leave the house through an opening in Amicia's bedroom, which leads down to the kitchen area. Upon getting out, turn left and walk towards the tree, where the player can find the Cinquefoils herbarium collectible still intact. With Hugo under the care of Melie and Arthur back in the Château d'Ombrage, Amicia puts it in her hair herself.
Chapter XIII: Penance - Daffodil
After walking up from the dream, Amicia will hear Hugo shouting at the guards to let him go. Kill the two guards mocking him, and release him from the cage. There's no way back, so keep moving forward. Notice the two big trees on the right side, and find the Daffodil herbarium collectible enjoying the sunlight.
Chapter XIV: Blood Ties - Black Nightshade
Follow Nicolas to the courtyard, and walk slowly to the left as he goes right to have a conversation with a guard. Sprint towards the next hedge, but slow down upon nearing a guard on his back.
Turn right and continue walking across to the right hedge. Turn right again and find an opening leading towards the Black Nightshade herbarium collectible. Be careful not to be seen by Nicolas and the guards while pursuing this flower.
Chapter XV: Remembrance - Rockfoils
This one is straightforward and easy to find. After having a conversation with Lucas, enter the storage room to his left, and turn right to see the Rockfoils herbarium collectible on the ground. With Hugo gone for a month, Amicia puts it in her hair herself.
Chapter XVI: Coronation - Christmas Rose
After their conversation with Melie and Lucas, the player will need to go inside a burning house with four more patrol guards entering the area. Kill all of them. Before going inside the burning house, head to the big doors (opened by the patrol guards) across from it, and turn left to find the Christmas Rose herbarium collectible.
