Although it has been years ever since Pokemon GO was first released, it still has plenty of loyal players. Niantic and The Pokemon Company have made it a success, keeping players interested in the constant events and new Pokemon. Because of this, it might be hard to keep track of which are the best Pokemon to obtain for the PVP battles.

It can be tricky to compare monsters for PvP battles as there are a lot of stats to factor in. One of the quickest ways to see if a Pokemon is strong is by checking out its Combat Points. However, it is also essential to check a Pokemon's attacks before adding it to a party for battles. This can be seen by looking at the attack's damage points and cooling time. Considering all of this, some Eeveelutions that might not have the highest CP could be more useful for PvP battles in Pokemon GO.

Jolteon

This first Eeveelution is the weakest out of the bunch. Jolteon is the Electric-type Eeveelution making it effective against Water and Flying-types. It has a max CP of 3265 and possesses a diverse moveset. Nonetheless, Jolteon has very strong options for its Main Move. Thunder has an extremely serious 100 damage, Thunderbolt inflicts 80 damage, and Discharge has 65 damage, although this last is a defense move.

Flareon

Flareon is a Fire-type Eeveelution, particularly vulnerable to Water, Rock, and Ground-types. Flareon has very low maximum Combat Points, so it's easily defeated in battles. Even at its 40th level, Flareon only reaches 3029 CP. However, its moveset has some great stats making Flareon a better adversary at PvP than Jolteon.

For its Main Move, some strong options exist, such as Overheat with 160 damage, Flamethrower with 70 damage, and Fire Blast with 140 damage. Even though Flareon is not the strongest Eeveelution, being a Fire-type, it benefits from Fire-type boosts in sunny weather which could make it a good option for many players.

Vaporeon

Vaporeon is the Water-type Eeveelution. Being a Water-type, the monster is especially weak when facing Grass or Electric-types in Pokemon GO. Its maximum CP is 3521, which is only slightly above Flareon. Its best moves for PvP battles are Water Gun, its quick move, and Hydro Pump. Both of these moves are also the best for Gym battles.

Although Vaporeon is not the strongest Eeveelution on its highest level, it is still one of the most reliable. It is often used as a Tank due to its high stamina. Even though this Pokemon is not the strongest of the Eeveelutions, some players might prefer to evolve Eevee into Vaporeon for its balanced stats.

Espeon

Espeon in Pokemon GO

One of the most interesting Eeveelutions is Espeon; getting it requires walking 10km with Eevee as the buddy and evolving it during the day. Espeon is a Psychic-type Pokemon, so it is at its weakest when facing Bug, Dark, and Ghost-types. Its maximum CP is 3583, making it rank only slightly above Vaporeon.

However, Espeon's move Psychic has considerable Damage Power, which could give an edge in battles. Many players prefer to evolve Eevee into Umbreon as Espeon does not have such good stats when compared to other Psychic-type Pokemon and, therefore, is not the best option for PvP battles.

Umbreon

Umbreon is Espeon's Dark-type counterpart, and it requires a similar mechanism to be obtained only that Eevee needs to be evolved during the night. However, it is its only similarity with the Fairy-type Pokemon as its stats are a bit different from Espeon's.

Umbreon has a considerably lower max CP of 2416 but a higher maximum HP. Umbreon's strongest main move is Foul Play, with 70 damage and 50 energy cost. Its HP, together with its competitive moveset makes it more suitable for PvP battles.

Leafeon

Reaching the top three is Leafeon, the Grass-type Pokemon. Because of its type, this Pokemon GO Eeveelution is vulnerable against Flying, Fire, Poison, Bug, and Ice-types, making it a hard Eeveelution for players to use in PvP battles.

Leafeon can be obtained by evolving Eevee next to a Moss Lure. The monster might not have the best stats, but it redeems itself. Like Umbreon, the monster is an extremely tough contender in PVP battles, with its Solar Beam attack reaching 180 damage at the cost of 100 energy.

Glaceon

Glaceon in Pokemon GO

Glaceon used to be the best Eeveelution for PvP as it has a max Pokemon GO CP of 3535, making it a withstanding adversary for battle. This Ice-type monster can be obtained by evolving Eevee near an Ice Lure.

Glaceon's strongest attack is Avalanche, with 90 damage making it one of the strongest attacks for all the Eeveelutions. Its second-strongest attack is Ice Beam also has the same 90 damage. Sylveon is considered to be one of the best options for PVP battles; some might still prefer to use Glaceon as it is also somewhat easier to acquire.

Sylveon

Sylveon in Pokemon GO

The Fairy-type Pokemon has remained one of the top performers in the Eeveelution family since its debut. Sylveon is the most complicated Eeveelution to obtain as it requires 70 Pokemon GO buddy hearts in order to get the option to evolve Eevee into Sylveon.

However, it might be worth the wait for some players as it possesses a max CP of 3470 with a tough moveset. Even though Glaceon's CP is a bit more, Sylveon's moveset is a little better in terms of stats. Sylveon's strongest attack is Moonblast, with 130 damage, followed by Dazzling Gleam, with 100 damage.
