Swedish studio Zoink’s gothic fairytale Lost in Random has rolled a 10th September release date, alongside a new gameplay trailer. You can check out the Tim Burton-inspired title above, which should help you to get a better grasp of its “explosive dice battles, time-freezing tactics, and various abilities and spells”.
“Ruled by a wicked Queen, the Kingdom of Random is divided into six shadowy realms where life is dictated by a cursed black dice,” the blurb reads. “Journeying as Even, players will walk the land’s mysterious cobbled streets, meet its unpredictable residents and take on courageous quests in order to save her sister, Odd, from Her Majesty’s clutches.”
It continues: “Along the way, they’ll team up with Dicey, a small and strange living dice, and together uncover an age-old tale with a surprisingly modern message not typically explored in gaming: randomness in the world isn’t something to be feared or controlled, but a power that can be harnessed by embracing it and learning to roll with its punches.”
Deep. The game really has a lot of personality, and it’s great to see these more imaginative projects coming out of EA of late. It’s due out on both PlayStation 5 and PS4, but what are the odds of you picking it up?

Lovely art style
This looks wonderful
This does look good and I like the stuff Zoink have done that I have played so I will definitely be getting this.
This one has my full attention
Hadn't heard of this one before today. Getting Alice: Madness Returns vibes combined with a bit of Nightmare Before Christmas. How nice is it to learn of a great-looking game only a few months before its release, rather than three years?
Looks pretty cool. How will they get microtransactions into this one?
Pretty interested in this one, looks like a lot of fun.
I love this one please release physical.
Looks great has a real 'Nightmare before Christmas' feel to it! I will no doubt be picking this one up.
I love this style of game. Reminds me of the recently released "it takes two".
Was starting to feel like imaginative art styles and story were becoming a thing of the past.
It's only £25.00 on ps store though.
That makes me wonder if it's a short game, but fully invested regardless
My interest in this game has been renewed, especially after learning the launch price is only $30 USD.
@ILikeStake This is an "EA Originals" title, so there won't be any microtransactions.
Is it getting a physical release?
I've liked everything I've seen about this so far. Definitely keeping it on my radar.
