Warframe Is Coming To Mobile

Warframe, the sci-fi online adventure from Digital Extremes is coming to mobiles screens in the future.

TennoCon 2021 might be over but we’re still picking over the highlights of this massive annual Warframe convention and it seems that fans of Digital Extreme’s stunning Sci-fi adventure are going to be able to take to the streets and spread the word when Warframe goes mobile.

During TenoCon, the news that Warframe is in development for mobiles dropped with a short, and surprise, demonstration of the development client. The mobile client appears to provide the full Warframe experience, existing in the same servers and other versions of the game and will support cross-play and save. If the brief glimpse we got is anything to go by, it seems Warframe’s mobile UI will function much like mobile action combat games that we’ve seen before, with virtual analogue sticks and a skill wheel in the bottom right corner of the screen.

While the port of Warframe to the Nintendo Switch happened recently, the move to mobile has been something fans have been asking for an age. While it’s great to finally see this happening, Steve Sinclair did describe the mobile version as “fresh out the oven”, meaning I wouldn’t expect a fully formed client quite yet. As soon as we find out more, we will let you know. Until then, you can get up to speed on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch by visiting the official website now.
