Stranger Things fans will want to check out the 8.7 MidSeason update for SMITE. The competitive MOBA will be receiving the update later today that brings a number of awesome new Stranger Things skins to some of the game’s gods. In addition, several other skins are being added for the Court of Midnight event, Loki, Morgan Le Fey, and Poseidon all have new skins. Lastly, a number of skins have been added to chests that can be purchased within the game. Several are themed around summertime fun.
The Stranger Things skins come as part of the Stranger Things Battle Pass. The basic version of the Battle Pass is 750 Gems while the Battle Pass Plus is 1350 Gems. Free track-themed items include avatars, a number of chests, and a global emote. The god skins can be found in the Prestige Track with others found in the Paid Track.
New skins include:
- Eleven and Starcourt Eleven Scylla
- Hopper and Hopper P.I. Apollo
- The Demogorgon Bakasura
- The Mind Flayer Sylvanus

The update also includes a number of bug fixes and a midseason balance update:
We’re excited to present new areas, pathing, and points-of-interest to spice up this Conquest Refresh for Mid Season. Heavy layout changes for Duo-lane, including a new playable area, adds more geometry and NPCs to fight around. Solo-lane, which historically has had fewer points of interest than the other lanes, is getting contestable XP camps added into the mix. These sources of farm on the edges of the map encourage Junglers to make more rotations, increasing the benefit of successful ganks while reducing the amount of lost farm when the opportunity for a gank slips out of reach. With all of these new additions, Vine Walls have been removed to prevent any slowdown in rotations to each of the new map features.
Add in some updates to relics, god powers, and other tuning aspects, and the 8.7 update is a robust one.
