In Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, players can take on the role of the controversial Drow Ranger Drizzt Do'Urden. He is among Ten-Town's most renowned heroes, and the forces of evil's worst enemies. Although Drizzt and his allies defeated Kessel, the Shard Crenshinibon continues plaguing Icewind Dale. Now, Drizzt must once again defend the innocent against numerous dark forces.

Even though this Drow Ranger is a formidable warrior, he requires extra support against the Dark Alliance. Chiefly, Drizzt needs better gear, as his starting cloak and armor simply are not enough. While Icewind Dale has numerous sets of armor to offer, there are those that stand well above the rest.

8 Cold Resistance

  • 3 Pieces Bonus: +30% Cold Resistance Bonus
  • 5 Pieces Bonus: +50% Cold Resistance Bonus
  • 8 Pieces Bonus: +2% chance when hit to release a Cold Burst inflicting the Frozen Condition to all monsters within 8 meters

The Cold Resistance Set provides Cold Resistance Bonus and has a chance to release a Cold Burst. In the early stages of the game, there are many Cold Damaging dangers that can easily defeat Drizzt, making this a useful set.

A +80% Cold Resistance Bonus allows players to adjust during the beginning of the game. Additionally, upon being hit there is a +2% chance of inflicting the Frozen Condition to nearby enemies, leaving them susceptible to attacks.

7 Warden of Mielikki

  • 5 Pieces Bonus: +1% Hit Point Regeneration per second
  • 8 Pieces Bonus: Grants the Second Wind Buff. This effect can only occur once every 5 minutes.

The Warden of Mielikki Armor Set grants a temporary Second Wind Buff and Hit Point Regeneration. Drizzt is one of the most self-sufficient characters in Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, making him a viable option for solo play. This set makes him even more so.

With +1.5% Hit Point Regeneration, Drizzt can passively restore Health, allowing him to preserve much-needed Health Potions. Additionally, receiving Second Wind every 5 minutes allows Drizzt to preserve Stamina, as this buff provides a -5% Stamina Cost.

6 Remorhaz Brotherhood

  • 3 Pieces Bonus: +10% Elemental Penetration
  • 5 Pieces Bonus: +20% Elemental Penetration
  • 8 Pieces Bonus: +40% Bonus Elemental Damage on a Critical Hit

The Remorhaz Brotherhood Armor Set grants Elemental Penetration and Bonus Elemental Damage on Critical Hits. As opposed to his friends, Drizzt deals minute damage and struggles against foes with Elemental Resistances. This armor offsets that difficulty.

With +30% Elemental Penetration, these enemies become much more manageable. This alongside a +40% Bonus Elemental Damage allows Drizzt to tear through most enemies without difficulty.

5 Sorcerer's Sentinel

  • 3 Pieces Bonus: +2% Life Steal
  • 5 Pieces Bonus: +5% Life Steal
  • 8 Pieces Bonus: Critical Hits have a 5% chance of inflicting Bleeding

The Sorcere's Sentinel Armor Set grants a 5% chance to inflict Bleeding upon Critical Hits, as well as Life Steal bonuses. Unlike his allies, Drizzt utilizes a duelist-like approach to combat emphasizing quick Attacks and Critical Hits.

With +7% Life Steal, Drizzt can easily revitalize himself, maintaining full HP for most encounters. Additionally, Drizzt's proficiency in Dexterity grants a high Critical Hit Chance, providing him many opportunities to induce Bleeding.

4 Tundra Raptor

  • 5 Pieces Bonus: +15% Stamina Cost Reduction
  • 8 Pieces Bonus: Grants Precision Strikes after a Dash

The Tundra Raptor Armor Set provides Precision Strikes after Dashing and a Stamina cost reduction. Throughout fights, Drizzt will perform various Stamina draining actions that may cause Exhaustion. This risk, however, becomes significantly lower with a 25% Stamina Cost Reduction.

Moreover, Precision Strikes increases Drizzt's likelihood of dealing Critical Hits. This makes nearly every Attack a devastating blow.

3 Wearer Of The Mask

  • 3 Pieces Bonus: Executions have a +25% chance to drip Stamina Fragments
  • 5 Pieces Bonus: Executions have a +25% chance to drip Stamina Fragments
  • 8 Pieces Bonus: Executions have a +100% chance of granting Invisible

The Wearer of the Mask Armor Set provides a chance to drip Stamina Fragments, as well as the eventual ability to become Invisible after Executing enemies. These effects allow Drizzt to regain Stamina, while providing him a means of recouping.

With a +50% chance to drip, Executions will often bear Stamina Fragments and grant Drizzt a second wind. In addition, he will turn Invisible, allowing him a period to coordinate an attack, use potions, or simply retreat.

2 Dragonsbane

  • 8 Pieces Bonus: +25% Critical Chance while Cloud of Daggers is active

The Dragonsbane Armor Set increases Critical Chance provided Cloud of Daggers is active, and offers more Critical Damage. As mentioned before, Drizzt possesses an incredible affinity for Critical Hits, which this Armor Set seeks to build upon.

His proficiency in Dexterity alongside a +50% Critical Damage boost significantly increases his damage output. Moreover, the +25% Critical Chance while using Cloud of Daggers ensures a Critical Hit with nearly every blow.

1 Do'Urden Prince

  • 3 Pieces Bonus: +10% Damage Bonus from Rear Attacks on enemies
  • 5 Pieces Bonus: +15% Damage Bonus from Rear Attacks on enemies
  • 8 Pieces Bonus: Blink does not end when an Attack is triggered, only at the end of its normal Duration

The Do'Urden Prince Armor Set prevents Blink from ending with Attacks, and grants a Damage Bonus for Rear Attacks. This caters to Drizzt's capability to become an assassin, rather than a typical Ranger.

With a +25% Damage Bonus to Rear Attacks, he can easily gain an advantage on unsuspecting enemies. Additionally, since Blink lasts its full duration, Drizzt can easily one-shot numerous foes with Precision Strikes in conjunction with Rear Attacks.
