Did you really think you could go another 24 hours without an update on the Abandoned situation? Of course not! After yesterday's revelation, where Blue Box Game Studios lead Hasan Kahraman proved he really does exist on camera, one of the game's reportedly many outsourcing studios now also wants to confirm it is indeed a real thing. The official Twitter account for the title has shared a new video featuring the head of Nuare Studio, an outsourcing team that primarily creates art for some of the industry's biggest games.
The video says: "Recently Hasan asked us to film a short introduction video about Nuare to explain about our role and how we are involved in the project. We are all real people with names that are working hard to bring you the best possible experience so here we are. Let's jump in. Nuare is a company of more than 70 gaming industry professionals working hard on different AAA titles as well as great companies, a part of which you can find on our website. And our goal as a company is to create the best possible art assets for our partners."

Just taking a quick glance at the company's website reveals many huge titles Nuare Studio has provided art assets for. In terms of PlayStation titles, it includes The Last of Us: Part II, Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, Marvel's Spider-Man, and Days Gone. Other big games the team has contributed to are Halo Infinite, Marvel's Avengers, and Fortnite. Yeah, Nuare Studio is certainly no slouch.
As more and more evidence is shared, it feels like the number of fans still believing Hideo Kojima is in some way involved continue to drop. You don't still believe he's behind all this, right? Right?

Wow Hideo is really going all out with this one. He even started another company and had them all work on these other games. HIDEO IS A GENIUS!!

It's all so weird. So to prove you're a real studio, you get an outsourcing studio to do a video. I mean obviously the outsourcing studio is real. Why would you not film some of your actual in house employees? It feels like some elaborate scam.

@Pleasance They invited this by that silent hill tweet. They definitely owe an explanation and frankly, I’m still not sure what to make of it.
Either he is behind all this which I absolutely believe or Blue box has been intentionally using his name and the silent hill name to inflate their game....but Silent Hill is still the most likely scenario when you consider that this seems to be more proof considering this studio works on AAA games not minor indie projects
Another thing to consider is that he could have a studio helping him (they worked on Death Stranding too) act as a front.
This is so bizarre. I know outsourcing is a thing that most major studios use, but I thought Abandoned was meant to be a tiny, indie thing.
Secondly, in what way does a completely unrelated, outsourcing studio make Blue Box seem any more real?

I always want to believe but rarely actually do. I want to believe but now I think it's not Kojima, Silent Hill or an indie game from a small dev outsourcing assets from a AAA asset farm when all they have made is an early access Steam game that rips at Fatal Frame, that came out end of 2020 that noone has heard of.
Idk what to believe. I can't even believe Sony thought this is the guy we want the next No Man's Sky from.

If it IS Kojima, then this promotional campaign is really genious.
But if at the end there is no Kojima behind all of this - it is a very stupid campaign.

On topic, if you look at the games Nuare has supported in the past, it’s many high-quality mostly AAA titles. Then they just decide to support some tiny indie dev that’s never put out much before? And the CEO is somehow convinced to make a video for BlueBox on behalf of them?
I’m not convinced this is Kojima or SH related ultimately. But what I am convinced of is this game is a bigger deal than it appears on the surface.
To go to these lengths this ain't no small indie game. Regardless of what it is it has to be big for all the trouble they are going to and no damage control by Sony . It still wiffs of Kojima so I'm almost convinced it is him and if its not then oh well.
This definitely doesn't convince me at all. How can a tiny indie studio run by a network of friends with a really shoddy history somehow have access to an outsourcing studio that worked on some of the biggest titles in recent memory? This might not be Kojima, but this project is far bigger than Blue Box is making it out to be.

I doubt this will change anyone's mind one way or the other. Outsourcing is very common, and no one ever doubted this studios existence. At this point I'll just wait until the reveal of actual gameplay before I fall completely on one side or the other.
@Weebleman Is the background abnormally blurry also or is that how it usually is? I feel like with other videos in the past we can see objects on the shelves more clearly.
@DeepSpace5D everything about this is just weird. A studio making an indie on an alleged budget of 250 grand is using an outsource company for some of the biggest triple A games going.
All of a sudden weird videos are being put out with odd background noises and editing.
The outsourcing company in question suddenly unfollows 611 accounts, leaving only ten remaining. One of which is kojima.
The fact it has got to this point regarding an alleged indie game is an alarm bell alone. Neither sony nor kojima has said a peep except for kojima productions liking hassans video.

@MatthewJP here, no tiptoeing: it 100% is not Kojima and never was. Blue Box tried to use the Silent Hill conspiracy with their marketing, and it's been a huge success, they're constantly in gaming news now.
Sure, a lot of these people probably won't buy the game once they learn it's something else, but some probably will now because they wouldn't have heard of the game otherwise. (And some will buy it thinking the ruse is still going and that it is Silent Hill, despite not being called Silent Hill and officially having nothing to do with Kojima).
@Weebleman Wow, that unfollow spree really is bizarre given how high profile of an outsourcing studio they are. They could have left KP as one of their last ones because they worked on Death Stranding. But that still doesn't explain the massive unfollowing spree. This whole situation is so weird.

I dont see the need to always know and have things explained..sometimes its nice to have things unexpected and mysterious in life..why do some people think the devs owe us an explanation? It’s so clearly nonsense that a company with this pedigree would involve themselves in promoting an indie from an unknown studio that you can’t help feel the strategy has morphed from marketing to trolling. Who knows what this will end up being, but it’s certainly been more entertaining than E3!

There is no such thing as bad publicity. Regardless of what the game is, the Studio has had a huge amount of publicity. People will now actively seek out the game. Even if it is not Silent Hill or a Kojima product, there will be much more interest in the game than there otherwise would have been, and that will likely lead to more sales. So in many ways, the marketing for this game is inspired.
Personally, I would love this to be another Silent Hill game, but with so many outright denials, it is difficult to believe that really is a Silent Hill game. One can live in hope though....

Something still not quite right here. I can't say whats going on, but I can tell you this is not a simple indie game and the company set up of one man is not ringing true for me. I could get an outsourcing firm to say anything for the right price - especially if I were a famous game producer. Lol. What fun!

Right here is my theory! Nuare have worked with Kojima in the past, they are working on this game with Hasan from Blue Box Studios, because Hasan is working on the game since he joined Kojima Productions Amsterdam!! Kojima wanted to make this new game in secret, like he did with MGS V, and Hasan stepped forward with "I have this inactive studio account and social media channels that you could use to work on this game in plain sight". This is it! We will find out tomorrow, but this is my theory! Aahhhhh! I DID IT!! I'M SO EXCITED!

I dont remember any treatment like this for any first party development team let alone an indie team who have 0 history within the game industry except from some faillings.
A dedicated trailer app, out sourcing its game already. Yes this is common in the triple A space where they have the money to but a indie team just getting started. It still is to fishy for something not to be something. Or its the most epic disaster we have ever seen
Naure worked on death stranding and top level triple A games, they aren't working with some small indie developer.

That video with the weird clock ticking in the back ground and animations for there name and he didn't say anything outrageous or anything of value. I could go infront of a camera and say I'm workin with my friends from blue box studios, because clearly they are working on something. So he isn't lying.
@Voltan 🤷🏼♂️ looks like Sons of the Forest to me. The first game sold millions, so not unknown, but still indie.
