Microsoft Flight Simulator's already stunning world is receiving even more detail in the latest update. The game has received numerous updates at launch to improve visuals in specific areas, and the 1.17.3.0 update is no exception, this time focusing on Microsoft Flight Simulator's recreation of northern Europe.

The world of Microsoft Flight Simulator is widely renowned for being among the most graphically impressive games available, and the developers at Asobo Studio have been hard at work with constant improvements to help players become even more immersed in the incredibly accurate simulator. While modding allows fans to add large improvements such as audio tours to Microsoft Flight Simulator, it is difficult to deny that the current vanilla experience is incredibly solid, especially with the ongoing updates.

The 1.17.3.0 update adds high detail to important areas and landmarks in northern Europe, specifically targeting iconic locations and constructions such as the Frederiksborg Castle in Denmark, Eleda Station and Avicii Arena in Sweden, Helsinski in Finland, and the Fyksesund Bridge in Norway, though many more nearby locations have also received updates. Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish localizations have also been added to the game, so fans living in Nordic regions can enjoy flying through the areas around their own homes with interfaces in their native languages. Xbox Series X owners will finally be able to experience these beautiful landscapes when Microsoft Flight Simulator releases on Xbox Series X on July 27.

Asobo Studio is intent on keeping Microsoft Flight Simulator a great experience for all players, recently having gone so far as to reduce Microsoft Flight Simulator's initial download size to make the game accessible to more players, in a display of care for the game's new and returning playerbase. The studio continues to show its care for Microsoft Flight Simulator, adding localizations and new areas so an increasing amount of players can enjoy the game's simulation and view the areas they live in rendered with stunning accuracy.

Asobo Studio has been working hard on Microsoft Flight Simulator recently to prepare for both the Xbox Series X launch and the Top Gun crossover. The Xbox Series X launch is especially welcome during the COVID-19 pandemic, when so many gamers are trapped at home and may miss the feeling of being outside. Microsoft Flight Simulator could help satisfy that need for many players in the near future, as it has for PC gamers ever since launch.

For some players, despite Asobo Studio's dedication to the game, some things still are lacking. Fortunately the game supports mods, allowing players to add additional vehicles such as helicopters to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Even without mods, however, Microsoft Flight Simulator is still an impressive simulator and Asobo Studio is not showing any signs of stopping updates anytime soon.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is out now on PC, and will release on Xbox Series X on July 27.
