In a new post, Blizzard has detailed how the Maw is being updated with the upcoming 9.1 update for World of Warcraft's Shadowlands.
In a post on the official World of Warcraft website (via MMO-Champion) the team detailed the upcoming changes in Chains of Domination. Some of the highlights here are the addition of Korthia, the City of Secrets, as well as some of the inhabitants of the new area.
"As part of his ongoing schemes, the Jailer has located a long-lost domain of the Shadowlands—Korthia, the City of Secrets—and dragged it from the hidden byways of the In-Between into the Maw. In this new area, you’ll team up with the covenants under a unified banner to fight against the endless forces of the Jailer, and work to uncover what obscurities he seeks in this forgotten realm."
Other aspects coming to the Maw in Chains of Domination are Covenant Assaults, which will see players helping their chosen covenant purge the Maw of its "monstrosities." Each assault, which happens twice a week, will be led by a single covenant and assisted by a second, and by assisting you'll earn rep with both factions, as well as the new coalition of covenants.
Death's Advance is the new coalition, which will give players daily, repeatable quests to gain reputation with this new faction. WoW players can also assist the Archivist in recovering the relics lost in Korthia to earn The Archivist's Codex faction reputation. So basically, all the faction rep in the Maw.
