Elyon, the MMORPG formerly known as Ascent: Infinite Realm, announced their next closed beta test yesterday during a dungeon stream by the team. The test, which will allow players to check out the upcoming Korean MMO again ahead of its full localization in the West later this year, is slated to begin in August.

During a recent stream, the team showcased a dungeon run with CM Karim of Elyon, giving players a glimpse at the gameplay while also answering questions and, eventually revealing the CBT2 date. The stream itself featured the run of one of Elyon's dungeons, and it's worth checking out if you're interested in what group content entails in the coming MMORPG.

For those more interested in checking it out for yourself, the beta test is coming this August, though the team has yet to release an actual hard date for the test itself. Pre-ordering Elyon will give you guaranteed access to the beta test, though as of now pre-orders themselves have not started.

Additionally, the client being used for the test is going to be a more up-to-date version of Elyon, meaning players will be getting a glimpse of content and how the MMO handles closer to what is being experienced right now on the Korean servers.

You can check out the dungeon run in the embed below if you're interested. Also, make sure to read up on our thoughts on how the previous beta for Elyon handled, specially as we look at the comparisons to be made to the team's other MMO, TERA. If you're more interested in how the story holds up in our first test, Kevin has you covered there as well.
