Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart has launched, and as is the case with most AAA games, it features a special edition alongside its standard edition. For $10 more, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart players can access some exclusive items.

Gamers considering a purchase of the deluxe edition for Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart may be wondering if its contents are worth the price. For those that are only planning to play the game for its main story, or have no prior attachment to the series, perhaps it would be better to stick to the standard edition. For anyone who loves the Ratchet and Clank series and is looking to get the most out of the game, though, the sheer amount of content in the deluxe edition makes it worthwhile.

What Is In Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart’s Deluxe Edition?

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart’s deluxe edition is packed with goodies, ranging from in-game resources to new cosmetics. First and foremost, gamers will get digital copies of the game’s art book and soundtrack. For those that love the Lombax and his robotic ally, this behind-the-scenes look is hard to pass up. Likewise, those that love video game soundtracks should find the bonus super enticing, as they can listen to the music at any time.

As for in-game content, gamers will find themselves getting access to 20 Raritanium, a special resource used in the game. This boost should help them upgrade Ratchet and Rivet quicker, while a special sticker pack should help gamers capture some excellent screenshots in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart’s photo mode. Finally, there are the five bonus armor sets, with the special suits serving as the most eye-catching part of the deluxe edition.

Why Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart’s Deluxe Edition Is Worth It

With the sheer amount of content on offer for only $10 extra, it is hard not to view this special edition as worthwhile. Realistically, any parts of this package could have been enough to justify the $10 upgrade. The combination of the photo mode sticker pack and the Raritanium resource would have been enough, while the same could have been said for the art book and soundtrack. The armor sets would also be worth it on their own, as each set would only be costing fans $2.

Further, while Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart’s armor sets are plentiful, these deluxe editions costumes are some of the best in the game. Ratchet’s sleek Imperial armor joins Rivet’s Hacker set as some of the pair’s most unique looks, while the Scavenger and Android armor make Ratchet look formidable. With Rivet’s Rebel armor fitting her character, too, there is a lot to love about these designs. For anyone that cares about cosmetics, loves the series’ art, or simply wants an early in-game boost, the deluxe edition is more than worth the extra $10. With so much included, anyone planning to spend serious time with the game should consider picking it up.
