Ubisoft Forward is primed to show off several of Ubisoft's biggest upcoming games this weekend, with the company already promising it'll discuss Rainbow Six: Extraction, Far Cry 6, Rider's Republic, and much more. However, as the event draws closer, Ubisoft is making sure to temper expectations, clarifying earlier today that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake won't have a segment during the upcoming broadcast.

In the hours following the announcement, another game has joined that list, with The Division's Twitter account confirming that the property won't take part in this year's Forward show. It's especially surprising considering the recent announcement of The Division: Heartlanda new, free-to-play take on the series by veteran Tom Clancy developer Red Storm Entertainment.

Fans of the franchise can seemingly look forward to more news later this year, with Massive Entertainment claiming in its tweet that new Division 2 content is on track to debut at the end of 2021. As for Heartland, the team doesn't provide a specific timeframe, only claiming that "additional tests" will be held for those wanting an early look at The Division spin-off. It's a shame to hear the franchise won't have a presence during the broadcast, however, Massive Entertainment definitely seems to have a lot in store for players in the coming months.

As for what players can expect to see from Ubisoft Forward, the newly-rebranded Rainbow Six: Extraction will be a big focus of the show, while Far Cry 6 will get additional gameplay following its recent showcase. There will also be updates on several popular Ubisoft releases, with the company specifically referencing Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, For Honor, and The Crew 2. Ubisoft even mentions a few additional surprises, so players can likely expect to see some fun announcements during the show. The event will take place on June 12 at 12:00 PM PT.

It will join several other major E3 showcases slated for this week, including a broadcast from Microsoft and Bethesda, a new Direct from Nintendo, and a livestream from Square Enix. Several other companies will also appear, including Bandai Namco, Gearbox, Warner Bros, Capcom, and Devolver Digital. The entire convention will be digital this year, meaning fans, media, and developers will all interact with the event through an online portal. They'll get to make an avatar, hang out in virtual lounges, attend online booths, and even compete using leaderboards. It'll be an interesting new structure for E3, which was forced to cancel its plans last year due to the onset of the pandemic.

The Division 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
