Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is looking like a promising entry in the fan favorite series, and diehard fans can pick up some new merchandise to celebrate. While there are only three items on offer, the Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart additions to the PlayStation Gear Store are plenty of fun.
The first item is a Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart Retro Chic T-shirt, and the black clothing item should please any fan of the Ratchet and Clank games. Detailed to be 100% cotton with laundered fabric, the $22.95 shirt comes in several sizes. Everything from extra small to 4X is available, though as is usually the case, the biggest sizes will be a bit pricier. As for the design itself, gamers can see some cute faces for each of the main characters in the game’s story.
On the left side of the shirt, Ratchet can be seen clearly, boasting his usual cheerful disposition. Clank looks similarly upbeat in the center, with the useful robot smiling alongside his companion. New protagonist Rivet is seen winking on the right side of the shirt, which is a possible nod to the MCU-inspired animation that recently set the internet ablaze. Another detail sees the Ratchet and Clank text being in a different language, with the item description confirming that it is meant to be Lombax writing.
This same style carries over to the other two items, with a neat water bottle available for $19.95. While it too is covered in text that only one of the Lombaxes could read, the Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart logo is seen clearly on the bottom of the bottle. Ratchet finds himself right in the center of the cylindrical bottle, with two images of Clank on either side. Rivet does not feature on the bottle, however, and the same focus on the two titular characters is seen with the pencil pouch. Costing $9.95, the matching, zipper-sealed case boasts two images of Clanks and one of Ratchet.
With the three items matching, fans have a good reason to snag the whole set. This merchandise comes at a good time as well, as Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart has officially gone gold. Gamers know the file size, pre-load dates, and pre-order info for the game, with all serving as reminders that its release is right around the corner. With a few gameplay demos and trailers released as well, those interested in the sequel have plenty of footage to watch until it arrives.
For those interested in the merchandise, both the shirt and pouch can be purchased now, with the two items currently listed as in stock on the PlayStation Gear website. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart fans interested in the water bottle can buy it starting on May 19, though it is currently up for pre-order.
