Danny O'Dwyer is back with another Noclip documentary that's worth sitting down with a good mug of hot chocolate and investing an hour of your time into. This time around, the Irishman focuses on the incredible Dishonored franchise from Arkane Studios, interviewing developers at both its Lyon and Texas-based facilities. The teams are known for their level design, and so O'Dwyer spends a great deal of the documentary learning how some of our favourite levels were designed and crafted. And yes, that includes The Clockwork Mansion and time-bending mission A Crack in the Slab.
The one-hour video then signs off by covering content that didn't make it into the two titles, including abilities. We really recommend taking some time out of your day to watch this latest Noclip documentary if you have even the slightest interest in game development. It's well worth a watch. Best series ever
Dishonored 2 is easily one of the best game of the past generation. Too bad it will, in all probability, not come to a Sony system ever again.
These are consistently well made documentaries, well worth a watch.

Platted 1 & 2, got DotO to go. Simply one of the best series ever made. The Bank in DotO may not be as mind-blowing as Clockwork Mansion & Crack in the Slab but it sure is spectacular. And The Envisioned are up there with the most terrifying foes in gaming ever.
@playstation1995 Hope you know there's 3 different levels in a Crack in the Slab. Thought it was just the 2, I was amazed when I found the 3rd years later after going with a different decision. Game is a masterpiece.
Amazing series that will no doubt be missed in the PlayStation ecosystem. I wish Arkane the best and I hope they make another Dishonored game.
No Clip make some good documentaries people should check them out
The whole series has some of the most innovative level design in modern gaming. It's a real shame these didn't sell better than they did. I'd heard they (Arkane) have given up on this series due to poor sales, and that's a travesty. I hope long term word of mouth can lead to enough sales for them to revisit Dishonored. If not, I hope at least they'll try another single-player series like it, instead of what they're doing now. They make such good levels that the joy for me is seeing what comes next, instead of a game where you die and play the same level over and over.

If a new game in the series did emerge and it did not come to PS, as reluctant as I may be, I would likely buy a Series S just for that one game. A superb series, with some of the best, art, level design and all-round world-building seen in games.
