Survival video game Conan Exiles has been announced as an upcoming addition for Xbox Game Pass. The title set in the fictional world of Conan the Barbarian, Conan Exiles will arrive on both the PC and console versions of the subscription service in the near future.

Developed by Funcom, the survival title was originally released in full in 2018 after a lengthy tenure in PC early access and Xbox preview mode. Conan Exiles came under scrutiny upon its initial release for having full frontal nudity, a feature that was removed for the North American version but remained intact for the European release.

Announced via the official Conan Exiles Twitter handle, the game will be coming to Xbox Games Pass "soon." The game's distilled premise begins in the lands of Hyboria, with the player's customizable avatar convicted of various crimes, and sentenced to death by being crucified in the desert. Rescued by the titular Conan, players must survive by hunting, gathering, and crafting various resources and materials to create armor, weapons, and much more. Base building is also a key core component, with a multitude of factors vital for a successful base.

While the developers haven't specified a release an Xbox Game Pass release date, Conan Exiles' massive Isle of Siptah expansion arrives on consoles May 27. In addition to the vast Isle of Siptah island itself, the DLC offers players plenty of new creatures to slay, new building sets, mounts, and a mysterious dark tower looming at the isle's center. It's entirely possible the Game Pass release will coincide with Isle of Siptah's console launch date, although subscribers will have to stay tuned as to exactly when they can dive into the world of Conan.

Conan Exiles is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
