In the fast-growing genre of monotonous job simulators, Bus Simulator has been gradually making a name for itself with each Bus Simulator release. That trend will hopefully continue with Bus Simulator 21, which is now confirmed to be launching across multiple platforms on September 7. Publisher Astragon Entertainment also has a special announcement to make regarding the return of an officially licensed partner.

With the release of Bus Simulator 21, Astragon has now confirmed that Mercedes-Benz is back. That means that bus drivers will once again have the opportunity to drive some of the nicest buses in the world. Both the Mercedes-Benz Citaro and CapaCity bus lines will be included in the bus, as will two new eCitaro licensed buses. The standard 2-doored, 12-meter-long eCitaro, as well as the 3-doored, 18-meter-long eCitaro G. 30 total licensed buses are now confirmed for Bus Simulator 21.

Bus Simulator 21's looking to move the series forward in more ways than just licensed vehicles, of course.  The sim will allow players to choose between either a single-player experience or grouping up with friends for cooperative multiplayer. Additionally, Bus Simulator 21 will feature two open-world areas to play in, with regions inspired by both a European seaside city and a San Francisco Bay-inspired area.

With a September 7 release date, there's still plenty of time left for Astragon and developer Stillalive Studios to reveal plenty more about Bus Simulator 21 in the weeks and months to come. Expect to hear more about one of 2021's biggest simulators soon.

Bus Simulator 21 release September 7 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S supported via backward compatibility.
