A new piece of fan art suggests Nick Offerman would make a great Omni-Man in the live-action film adaption of Invincible. The critically acclaimed animated series premiered on Amazon Prime in March and has already been renewed for a second and third season.

Invincible is based on the comic book of the same name and follows Mark Grayson, a teenager whose father is the most powerful person on the planet. When Mark turned 17, he gained powers of his own and started working as a superhero alongside his father. His father is the mighty Omni-Man, a humanoid species who adopted the secret identity of a best-selling author upon arriving on Earth. Omni-Man possesses superhuman strength and speed and is considered one of the greatest comic book villains of all time.

In 2018, it was announced that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (This Is The EndThe Boyswere developing a film adaption of Invincible that will exist separately from the animated series. Popular Melbourne-born graphic artist BossLogic recently created a piece that cast Nick Offerman, perhaps best known for his role as Ron Swanson in NBC's acclaimed comedy Parks and Recreation, as a live-action Omni-Man. The post drew praises from fans and accumulated over 100 thousand likes in just 24-hours. Bosslogic also posted a photo in which Scott Glenn (The Leftovers, Silverado) plays Invincible's Cecil Stedman, the head of the Global Defense Agency.

The violent Invincible comics consisted of 144 issues and were written by Robert Kirkman with illustrations by Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. Kirkman serves as an executive producer on the series and notably co-created The Walking Dead and The Irredeemable Ant-Man comics. The eight-episode Invincible series is run by Simon Racioppa and stars Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson/Invincible, Sandra Oh as Debbi Grayson, J.K. Simmons as Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man, Zachary Quinto as Robot, and Gillian Jacobs as Samantha Eve Wilkins/Atom Eve. Invincible's season one finale dropped on the streaming platform on April 29.

While it is unclear when the Invincible film will start production, Kirkman teased that there might be some casting crossover with the series. But the acclaimed writer noted that Steven Yeun is too old to play a live-action version of Mark Grayson.

Amazon has yet to state when the second season of the adult superhero series will air. Kirkman is currently writing the second and third seasons of Invincible and has stated that he’d love to adapt all 144 issues of the comic book series.

Invincible can be currently seen on Amazon Prime.
