Xuan Yuan Sword 7 is a Chinese RPG coming to West on Xbox and Playstation consoles later this summer. It’ll be available both physically and digitally in North America and Europe via publisher Maximum Games. Here’s what you need to know.
Xuan Yuan Sword 7 is set 2000 years ago in China near the end of Western Han rule. It’ll see you as the noble swordsman Taishi Zhao following the trail of a mysterious bamboo slip from the crypt of Marquis of Liu. In order to protect your family, you’ll need to uncover the truth behind the famine and misery brought about from the crypt.
You’ll have to master various fighting techniques throughout your quest. You’ll be able to slow down time, absorb monsters, or alter the environment. You’ll also be able to upgrade your armor and weapons, develop passive skills, and learn new techniques. These include blocking, dodging, and riposting various attacks.
