Blizzard Entertainment confirmed the release of Blizzard Arcade Collection during BlizzConline 2021, but now it's getting two more games at no additional cost. These titles will join the package upon purchase or will release as a free update for existing owners of the collection.

Blizzard Arcade Collection was revealed during BlizzConline 2021 and it initially released with three remastered classics from Blizzard's catalog, but two additional games have been added with an update. The two new games joining the Blizzard Arcade Collection are Lost Vikings 2, allowing fans of the original to continue their journey, and RPM Racing, the prequel to Rock N Roll Racing.

During BlizzConline 2021, Blizzard Entertainment announced Blizzard Arcade Collection, which brings together three of the most iconic classics from the developer into one package. Just like the other titles in the collection, Lost Vikings 2 and RPM Racing will include the original version and remastered version of both games, allowing players to enjoy them in their original form or in the enhanced mode alike. Lost Vikings 2 and RPM Racing will include the additional features offered in the other Blizzard Arcade Collection titles such as rewind, save, and filters.

The Blizzard Arcade Collection update also adds bonus features such as a Streamer mode for Rock N Roll Racing which includes a 4-player local multiplayer that lets players stream while keeping the MIDI versions of the soundtrack in order to circumvent any DMCA issues. The Museum Mode has also been expanded on, with new Design Documents showing how the original games went from a concept to a fleshed-out game. The additional games and features have released through a free update for existing owners of Blizzard Arcade Collection at no additional cost. Lost Vikings 2 is a direct sequel to The Lost Vikings which is already on the Blizzard Arcade Collection and it brings new powers, new characters, and more puzzles than the original, while RPM Racing has some additional content to make it more like Rock N Roll Racing.

It's a little strange that Lost Vikings 2 and RPM Racing are being added to the collection now considering their respective sequel and prequel were part of the package from day one. RPM Racing was particularly unexpected for this collection as Rock N Roll Racing was part of the original package and it followed up RPM Racing in 1993, but it's always good to see more content added to a game after release. Considering Blizzard Entertainment has added two new games to Blizzard Arcade Collection through a simple update, it would be nice to see additional classic Blizzard titles such as Diablo and Warcraft II added to the collection over time.

Blizzard Arcade Collection is available right now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
