It's been a hot week of video game news, with information about some of the industry's biggest events releasing, along with plenty of other juicy developments. Cameron and Anthony are here to discuss the biggest news of the week, featuring E3, their Outriders opinions, Xbox's biggest new get for Game Pass, and lots more.
First things first, E3 is going digital for 2021. Rumors had circulated that the show would be locked behind some kind of paywall, but those turned out to be false. This year, viewers can expect Xbox, Nintendo, Take-Two, Warner Bros, and Konami to make appearances during the multi-day show, though it isn't entirely clear how much will be announced. Luckily, there are only a few months more to wait.
Perhaps the biggest news of the week is MLB The Show coming to Xbox, with a Game Pass launch on day one. It's a major move, and one that looks bad for Sony all-around. Notably, it was the MLB's decision to put the game on the platform, but it begs the question of how long PlayStation can avoid its own version of Game Pass.
Plus, Hideo Kojima's next game might be published by Xbox. If true, that would almost certainly mean yet another major title for the Game Pass roster. That's a big deal, and also seems like a big win considering that Sony published Kojima's last game, Death Stranding. Kojima wasn't the only creator in the news, though, as Cliff Bleszinski has also teased a new project. However, it isn't clear if that's a new game or something else entirely.
