One common request from many Marvel's Avengers fans during the game's early months was a formal roadmap. After only one DLC character had launched in the first handful of months and there were no limited time events, some serious concerns were floating around about the future of the game. Now that the development team seems to have squashed many of the game's original bugs, it's finally time to start looking towards the future and sharing some of the plans.

A roadmap was released alongside the Hawkeye DLC content that offered a sneak peek at what is coming to the day in the spring, summer, and beyond. There's definitely some exciting stuff included in the general road map, but many fans still had concerns that the vague season release windows weren't very reassuring. Some of those skeptics may have reason to feel a little more confident this week as the two spring season items on the Marvel's Avengers roadmap have been updated with more specific release windows.

The two spring events featured on the roadmap are the Tachyon Anomaly event and the Red Room Takeover. Rather than general spring releases, each event is now marked with a specific month and, considering the April release for Tachyon Anomaly, it sounds like the game's first limited time event is just weeks away.

"The Tachyon Anomaly event arrives this month, and The Red Room Takeover event is coming in May. While you stay tuned for more information on specific dates, ready up your favorite Hero and brainstorm some cool group compositions! We’re looking forward to seeing what kind of action and mayhem you can create!"

There's no specific start date or length listed for the Tachyon Anomaly event just yet, but with only two and a half weeks left in April it can't be far off. The event will scale Tachyon missions for Power Level 1-100, likely giving players of any level a chance to participate. It will also allow players to play as any combination of heroes for the very first time. That means it will be possible to field a whole team of Hulks (or any other hero), which is sure to lead to some awesome combos and very entertaining photo mode captures.

The Red Room Takeover will follow sometime in May to help celebrate the Black Widow solo movie. That event will likely feature the release of the first MCU tie-in outfits in the Marketplace and will give players a chance to enter the Red Room with some new themed HARM Room content challenges.

There isn't much else we know about the upcoming events yet, but more details should arrive in the coming weeks as each event approaches. Be sure to check back frequently for more Marvel's Avengers news, guides, and updates.
