Valheim Players Have Modded WoW's Northrend And It Totally Fits

Valheim's community has seen some pretty spectacular builds, from the Eiffel Tower to the tower of Barad-Dur from The Lord of the Rings. However, one MMO-inspired build fits right in with the Viking-asthetic of the survival game: World of Warcraft's Northrend.

Spotted by PCGamesN, modder DrakonmanTheFox has created Northrend, the frozen continent from World of Warcraft's Azeroth, in Valheim. The home of Icecrown Citadel, Northrend is the home of the Lich-King. The Viking connection fits too, as the Wrath of the Lich King expansion saw the Vrykul, the half-giant warriors from Northrend are totally Norsemen.

The mod itself sees adjustments made to the different biomes and dungeons to give it more of a Viking feel, such as Dragon Eggs being located in places like the Deep North and Mistlands. The heightmaps of the World of Warcraft continent are fairly accurate in the Valhiem recreation, however you won't find structures like Icecrown Citadel on the map.

You can actually download the mod on Nexus Mods, and the mod's creator recommends downloading the Epic Loot Mod as well. Recently the composer for Valheim's soundtrack hosted an AMA on Reddit, talking about composing the music for Valheim and the looping quality of the soundtrack.
