For a while, Riot Games has been working on the portable new addition to the League of Legends franchise. Notably, League of Legends: Wild Rift, which will be a mobile version of the popular MOBA that players will be able to enjoy on their mobile devices.

League of Legends fans in various countries around the world have been able to access the beta for the new mobile while the Americas have not. Recently, Riot Games officially announced the start date for the League of Legends: Wild Rift open beta in the Americas. The Americas' open beta will begin later this month on March 29 for players to enjoy.

The news comes from a recent trailer for the mobile game that shows the various countries in the Americas that can access the open beta: Brazil, Mexico, Chile, United States, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, and Peru. Players will be able to access the League of Legends: Wild Rift open beta by downloading the game directly from the App Store on iOS devices, and from the Google Play and Samsung stores on Android devices.

Concerning the gameplay, League of Legends: Wild Rift currently has 50 playable characters for the open beta at the time of writing. The champions will come with their own skill sets and various item builds to use in the game. League of Legends: Wild Rift will let players team up and engage in fast-paced action while providing smooth controls for them to use on mobile devices.

However, there's some news that Riot Games recommends players in the Americas to be aware of before the open beta arrives. The Americas will have their own server instead of being added to the Regional Open Beta due to having different infrastructure, which is part of the reason for the delayed release of League of Legends: Wild Rift in the region. As such, players in the Americas will not be able to engage with players from the rest of the world.

Also, players in the Americas who've already been playing the League of Legends: Wild Rift open beta will receive a prompt to transfer over to the Americas servers. Players with pre-existing accounts that choose to migrate over will have their accounts fully reset, but Riot Games said it'll work to restore their purchased Wild Cores. They can decline if they want to, and their accounts will remain unchanged. But as long as their Riot Account's location differs from their IP address, they will be unable to log in to the open beta.

The League of Legends: Wild Rift open beta starts March 29 for mobile devices.
