The Mandalorian made waves seemingly by its very nature during its most recent season, where several characters from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, including Katee Sackhoff's Mandalorian warrior Bo-Katan Kryze, made their live-action debuts. But Sackhoff thinks the show, and Star Wars in general, shouldn't stop there.

During an interview at Topps WinterCon, the actress spoke about the Star Wars characters she's grown fond of over the years as well as her wishes to see more of them make the move from animation to live-action. Having voiced Bo-Katan on The Clone Wars for years and now getting to perform the character on-screen, Sackhoff has really gotten a feel for her role and would love to not only see more of her but other favorite characters from throughout the animated series as well. With The Clone Wars spawning its own spinoffs like The Bad Batch, perhaps anything's possible.

"I think I would love to see some stuff with Pre Vizsla," she mentioned as one possibility. Pre Vizsla is well known among fans of The Clone Wars as the Mandalorian who overthrew the pacifist regime on his home planet of Mandalore, only to be struck down by his former comrade Maul after attempting to turn against him. Vizsla was in possession of the weapon known as the Darksaber during this time, which currently looks to be an important piece of the ongoing story on The Mandalorian. So while it would be impossible to feature Viszla in anything set after the time of The Clone Wars, a backstory could add some important context to the current storylines.

Sackhoff also expressed interest in seeing Satine Kryze, sister of Bo-Katan and former Duchess of Mandalore, as well as Maul himself. "I love Maul, I think he's constantly coming back to life anyway. He's a really hard guy to kill, so you never know," she said, floating the idea of Maul making another more current appearance, in defiance of his death shown in Star Wars Rebels. Sackhoff generally pointed to the idea of showing Bo-Katan's backstory, which would incorporate most of these characters.

Disney has shown that they seem to be in favor of exploring backstories for various Star Wars characters, and as seen with their upcoming set of new projects set in the "High Republic" era, they aren't afraid of diving into the past. So, a series giving some extra depth to Bo-Katan, who is already a complex character that doesn't necessarily fight for the good guys, could go a long way in adding new dimensions to the franchise.

However things go, it's always exciting to see more of Sackhoff's work and given how The Mandalorian is going right now, there looks to be a good amount of that on the way. So, maybe Disney will see her popularity and decide to take fans on an adventure into Mandalore's history.

The Mandalorian is now available on Disney Plus.
