Xbox has announced a continuation of its partnership with electronics company Samsung. Samsung has renweed a multi-year deal with Xbox to remain the official TV partner of the Xbox Series X in the United States and Canada.

The two companies previously teamed up before the launch of the Series X, working together on a Cyberpunk 2077-themed QLED TV giveaway. However, Samsung and Xbox have kept a relationship since 2017 at the advent of the Xbox One X, the Xbox One's mid-cycle upgrade.

Described as a "phenomenal companion" to the Xbox Series X, Samsung's Neo QLED monitors and TVs have reportedly been designed with next-gen gaming in mind. The screens are capable of 4K resolution at 120 FPS, allowing the Series X to run at its maximum capabilities. The Neo line will also feature a new "Game Bar", which allows players to easily adjust the aspect ratio of the screen, as well as checking input lag, wireless headsets connection, and more. Samsung's Neo QLED line will also feature some of the first-ever TVs capable of supporting AMD Freesync Premium Pro. More commonly found in high-end gaming monitors, this enables a synchronized display output and variable refresh rates.

The products are also promised to optimize gameplay with its Samsung Neo Quantum Processor, which utilizes AI learning to "elevate" a player's gaming experience. While the details of how the AI/Processor will work remain unclear, the electronics company has been on the cutting edge of processors as of late. Last fall the company unveiled the fastest ever consumer-level PCle 4.0 Solid State Drive. The next-generation drives boasts read speeds up to 7,000 MB/s, 2,000 MB/s more than the previous PCIe 4.0.

Gamers who prefer Xbox as their main platform may want to look into buying some Samsung peripherals. In addition to being able to run Doom Eternal on a Samsung fridge thanks to xCloud, Xbox Game Pass has exclusive features on Samsung Galaxy devices. Galaxy owners have the ability to make in-app purchases and microtransactions, something that the Google Play store version of the app doesn't have. The Samsung Galaxy store has also been an exception for Fortnite, which is mired in a legal battle with Apple and Google.

With the Samsung Neo QLED's top-tier technology comes top-dollar price. The cheapest model, Samsung's 55-inch QN85A, will cost gamers $1,599.99. However, players can still get their hands on some new tech for a lower price point. Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 5G recently got a huge price drop, and after the company's exclusivity deal with Twitch, investing in some Samsung tech may be worth it.
