The 2021 roadmap for Everspace 2 has arrived, and it covers a lot. Developer ROCKFISH Games has unveiled the plan for Everspace 2, including everything from fast-traveling to new companions to new activities to an increased level cap and so much more. For fans of the PC game - and those interested in diving into the space shooting adventure - there may be a lot more to do in the coming year.

Everspace 2 exceeded all expectations when it dropped in Early Access on PC last month. According to ROCKFISH Games, the title will remain in Early Access for at least the next year as the team continues to develop and expand on it. A part of that development was detailed in a recently released roadmap.

The roadmap details each phase for the remainder of 2021. In April, Everspace 2 will receive new fighters, a new companion, new missions, new activities, and a game balancing overhaul. Over the summer, there will be new enemy types and creatures, another new companion, more missions and activities, and an increased player level cap. Then, in the fall of 2021, there will come what seems to be a rather large update that will provide a new fighter subclass, more missions and activities, new enemy types and creatures, more companions, an increase to the player level cap, and the ability to fast travel.

What many fans ask for from any development team is transparency, and that seems to be what fans are getting from ROCKFISH Games. ROCKFISH seems to be making a lot of wise decisions. The launch of Everspace 2 was pushed to avoided Cyberpunk 2077, which may have helped with the initial success of the game. The game seems to have a lot going for it, both in Early Access and beyond.

Everspace 2 is available in Early Access now on PC.
