Legend of Mana is being remastered, and it's coming to PS4 on the 24th June. Widely considered to be a classic Japanese RPG experience, Legend of Mana originally released for the PS1 all the way back in 1999.
The remaster will feature enhanced visuals, and "optimised" gameplay. It also promises a rearranged soundtrack, and the 'Ring Ring Land' minigame (we honestly have no idea what this is) will be playable in the remaster for the first time here in the West. We're sure that's great news to somebody!

wow, i don't see many people talking about this game. i thought it would be lost on the ps1 forever heh. legend of mana has excellent music, beautiful graphics and art direction — easily one of the best looking sprite games on the ps1 — BUT, the obtuse, open ended structure of the game will not appeal to everyone. i spent a dozen hours or so playing it before i lost interest as there wasn't a strong narrative to push me forward. i would compare this game to saga frontier or the unlimted saga games in some respects.
Thought they'd be remastering it in June. Hm...
I love obtuse open ended games. Probably getting this unless I can find the original physically but the chances of that happening are extremely slim.
My problem with the game when I first played it years ago I thought it was a direct sequel to Secret of Mana, boy was I wrong. Due to that I was disappointed in the game and didn't enjoy it much. Might try it again now that I know it's not a direct sequel.
Never could get into this one back in the day, but those sprite graphics are lush! Could be worth another shot 🤔
Nice, one of the best mana games imo. Can't wait to play it again. Quite disappointed that is digital only though, such gem deserve to be a collectable.
Chrono Cross needs a remaster too.
Wish they would do this for Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story and Parasite Eve
'Ring Ring Land' is mini game for PocketStation.
And it's for raising your pet monster.
Like a Sugoroku (Japanese classic analog game).
Will this be physical?
I remember playing this on psone but I forget whether the game is good or not, the 2D graphics is great though.

@nessisonett This is exactly the reason I liked this game when I was a kid. Now we only need a Vagrant Story remaster and all will be well.
Oh for some reason I thought this was exclusive to switch like the other mana games. Id still prefer a physical copy like the mama collection, but if not. I'll probably buy it digitally to show support

Chrono Cross is good, but not a patch on the original Chrono Trigger!
Definitely interested in it. I'll pick it up when it's on sale, for sure! Possibly even a day one buy/download.

@Porco Saga Frontier 2 was really weird - I played it hard core - until I just-stopped-altogether
I lost track after a few generations - the story was so confusing - but the gameplay was legit - top notch
I should give that one a try again
