Last Epoch Game Director, Judd Cobler, recently discussed potential console ports, multiplayer, and more in an interview with SegmentNext.

If you’re unfamiliar with the game, Last Epoch is an isometric action RPG currently in Early Access. During the interview, multiplayer was discussed and was described as an exciting release for the team. When asked, Cobler said,

“Multiplayer will be one of the most, if not the most, exciting releases for Last Epoch and as a team, we feel good about the social systems we’ll offer the community.”

He noted that players will be able to chat, show off gear, and trade with other players all while in town hubs. He added that it will be server-side characters in a server-authoritative environment to ensure the best experience.

Ray tracing was brought up as well. While the team doesn’t have plans for ray tracing, they are interested in DLSS. The interview also discussed console ports to which Cobler replied,

“Our vision is to bring Last Epoch to as many players as possible, but for the time being we’re going to focus on a high quality full release for Windows and Linux. We’ll add porting to consoles to our roadmap post launch.”

There is no release date yet for the full game.
