Outfit Wars is live on PlanetSide 2’s after testing on PTS. Here’s what you can expect.
Outfit Wars is described as a competitive tournament. It was actually first introduced to the game last year during the Escalation update. It’s intended for various outfits to earn rewards and compete against each other. If you have a full platoon in your outfit (48 members) in addition to the necessary resources, you’ll be able to participate in your server region.
You’ll then be eligible to compete in several 48v48v48 matches on a new asteroid continent called Desolation. You’ll compete here through qualifiers. If you’re in the top for your faction, you’ll advance. The team then thanked all the players who helped test this feature, noting,
“For those of you who were able to check it out on the Public Test Server and provided us feedback, thank you, we heard you and made the fixes on the reported issues, including server related performance improvements.”
