Epic Games' free to play week introduced hundreds of thousands of new players to the game, and with the future of the franchise uncertain, Battlefront II looks to remain the most popular Star Wars game for the foreseeable future. Players of all skill levels should use the below tips to dominate on the battlefront.

10 Crouch Shooting

If players crouch before firing their weapon, the hip fire spread of the weapon will tighten. Players that are using hip fire weapons should try to crouch if possible to increase hip-fire accuracy and take down more opponents. Players need to be careful when crouching, as enemies will have a much slower target to hit. By going in and out of crouch as needed, players will have more success in confined gunfights.

9 Movement And Dodging

Battlefront

Experienced players combine skilled movement with well-timed dodges to avoid enemy fire and stack up battle points. In general, the more a player moves the less damage the player will take. Obviously, spamming dodge is not the best way to outmaneuver opponents, however.

Players should dodge when under fire and when reloading. Dodging is extremely effective if enemies are close, and beginners often do not use dodge correctly. Players can dodge toward the enemy and then shoot the enemy from behind. Even skilled players will have trouble reacting to a perfectly timed dodge.  By combining the dodge with jumping and sprinting, players will be much harder targets to hit.

8 Precise Aim And Hip Firing

Unlike many first-person shooters, the blasters in Battlefront have considerable bullet drop and players will need to lead targets to connect shots. At long range, players must account for bullet velocity by aiming in front of and above enemy players. Newer players should check their settings to make sure they are comfortable with the aiming sensitivity. All players need to turn aim assist on. Controller players are at a considerable disadvantage without aim assist. Additionally, players should hip fire in close quarters situations, as characters have better movement speed when firing from the hip. By combining these tactics, players can unlock heroes before their teammates.

7 Unlock Heroes Quicker

One of the best ways to get a high number of kills and win matches is to get enough battle points to unlock the best heroes first. Players earn points for almost everything they do in the game, including dying. Players should use the bounty hunter star card to earn more battle points for everything they do.

Battlefront players can also use the scan dart to identify enemies and gain 100 points for every revealed enemy that is killed. Battle command and the thermal binoculars can be used by players to gain passive points as well. By using these star cards, players can get assist points without having to fire their blasters.

6 BX And B2 Movement

Players that are using the BX and B2 reinforcements can use techniques to improve their movement speed and dodge tactics. When using the BX, players should dodge, then use a single melee, and then dodge again. By using the tactic, players can slide across the map extremely quickly. Similarly, the B2 rocket droid can dodge faster if players look down while initiating the dodge. By using this tactic, the B2 will dodge much farther and players should utilize the tactic to escape enemy gunfire.

5 Know The Strength Of Each Hero

There are advantages and disadvantages to using every hero. For example, Luke Skywalker is very fast, and players should use his increased speed to flank and surprise opponents. Every hero has both offensive and defensive stamina, and players should keep that in mind when deciding to play offensively or defensively. Rey is an extremely offensive hero, and Obi-Wan is the best defensive hero. Players need to understand the strengths and weaknesses of every hero to survive.

4 Lightsaber Duels

Winning a lightsaber dual requires controlled dodging and high sensitivity. By dodging consistently and increasing sensitivity, players can phase in and out of attacks quicker. Dodges should be used when an opponent is initiating an attack. If players time dodges correctly, they can both avoid taking damage and counter the enemy's attack with their own. Players need to mind their stamina, but make sure to use it without depleting it. Combining blocks with dodges and counter attacks is the best way to dismantle an enemy hero.

3 Weapons, Attachments, And Star Cards

Players should always be changing their weapons, attachments, and star cards depending on the mode and map they are playing. For example, the CR2 assault blaster is best used on maps with close-quarters gunfights. Players on larger maps are better off using the A280 assault blaster, which is far more versatile. The default weapons in Battlefront II do not have attachments, and all of the unlocked weapons are better. Players that have unlocked weapons should never use the default weapons in Battlefront II. Nearly all of the star cards and attachments are useful, and players need to have an idea of what their strategy is before joining a match. The bounty hunter star card is great for players that want to unlock heroes, and aggressive players should use toughen up to regenerate health in gunfights. The best star cards for players to use often depend on the player's tactics and play style.

2 Push The Enemy

Seasoned Battlefront II players are always pushing into enemy objectives and spawns. While it may seem intuitive to find good cover and take out enemy players from the same spot, passive tactics are not effective in Battlefront II. Players that decide to camp will get trapped and held at the default objective spawns. The best way to win games and get a hero is to push behind enemy lines and take over enemy objectives.

1 The Road Not Traveled

Battlefront II Clones

Players should always be looking for a way to get into areas controlled by the enemy without being detected. On every map in Battlefront II, there are common sightlines and doors that most players will crowd around. Players should be looking for the less common routes to congested areas of the map to flank the enemy team. Many beginner players will push the same doorway or area and be killed over and over as a result.
