Bethesda recently shared its plans for a number of new features and improvements heading to Fallout 76’s public test server. The changes coming to the Fallout 76 public test server include new features like S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts and C.A.M.P. Slots, as well as a number of gameplay improvements.

In response to a high volume of community requests, Bethesda is adding S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts as a way for players to quickly swap in and out of their character’s build. A character’s S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes determine the strength of their abilities in a number of ways. These attributes can modify everything from a character’s proficiency with automatic rifles to the health received for consuming human flesh. Literally. With the introduction of loadouts, players will be able to create and save two custom S.P.E.C.I.A.L. builds starting at level 25. Loadouts can be quickly swapped whenever a player is in their C.A.M.P.

Speaking of C.A.M.P., a new feature in the works called C.A.M.P. Slots allows players to build a multitude of bases throughout the map, each with its own location, budget, custom name, and map icon.

Previously, players could only construct one C.A.M.P. at a time to house their base of operations. With the addition of the C.A.M.P. Slots system, players can seamlessly choose which C.A.M.P. they want to be active. Wastelanders who enjoy trading can look forward to updates to Vending Machines that will display the items they have for sale between all C.A.M.P. locations.

Daily Ops quests are also set to receive its first major expansion, doubling the amount of randomized content currently available and adding an all-new “Decryption” game mode. Daily Ops are challenging, randomized, and repeatable missions introduced in Fallout 76’s One Wasteland For All update.

As of right now, the only Daily Ops mission game mode available is called Uplink. That is set to change with the launch of Decryption, which tasks the team of players with hunting down Code Carriers in order to disable radio interceptors. Additional Daily Ops locations, enemies, mutations, and rewards will be added to the randomized pool in order to keep these challenges fresh.

Additional features heading to the public test server include aim assist, melee attack improvements, world activity menu updates, and the ever-useful batch crafting feature. Batch crafting allows multiple items to be crafted at once so players don’t have to cook up their crispy squirrel bits one at a time.

Many of these features are scheduled to arrive in the Fallout 76 public test server by the end of next week. The public test server is open to any players who own Fallout 76 through the Bethesda.net launcher on PC.

Fallout 76 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
