Bethesda Launches Fallout 76 Inventory Update

The new year is kicking off in high style for Fallout 76 with the arrival of the Inventory Update. The latest patch brings a number of new and improved features into the game including an expanded inventory, community requests, bug fixes, and more.

Most notably, FO76 players will be able to schlep around tons more stuff thanks to the whopping 50% increase to player Stash. With the patch, players will be able to carry 1,200 pounds while duking it out with the nasties that inhabit the planet. The 1,200 pounds can include gear, Junk, or anything else worth picking up and stuffing into a backpack.

In addition to the Stash increase, players will also find:

  • PIP-Boy improvements including a significant update to the UI. The interface now includes an inventory menu with tabs for New, Armor, and Food/Drink.
  • Stack Weight has been adjusted to show players how much each item stack weighs. “This change allows players to see quickly and easily what in their inventory is taking up significant carry weight.”
  • Vending Machine Map Previews have been added to allow players to preview another player’s Vending Machines on the Map and how many legendary weapons and armor that player is selling.

As the game moves into February, players can look forward to the Fasnacht event and a brand new Valentine’s Day-themed event.
