Amidst the new COVID-19 regulations, many businesses are still trying to keep their doors open while respecting social distancing requirements. In particular, Universal Studios in Japan hopes that its new Nintendo merch will bring in new customers into the park.

The theme park had a "soft opening" yesterday as part of its sneak peek to the public. Among the many parts that tourists could visit, there was a Nintendo themed merchandise gift shop specifically centered around Mario and other characters from the games.

Some of the items available for sale are Mario plushies, Mario and Luigi hats, Toad shirts, lunch boxes, and a superstar container. There was even a metallic replica of Bowser's castle that was shown on display. Currently, it is unclear how much any of these items cost.

Visitors also leaked a picture of a theme park map that shows off other areas of the park. Other themed areas and rides consisted of Spider-man, Jurrasic Park, Minions, Terminator, and Jaws. Hashtags such as #SUPERNINTENDOWORLD on Twitter showcases other pictures from fans from the opening for people interested in learning more about what the company has to offer.

Unfortunately, many accounts have limited the number of people who can see their posts. Most likely, due to the fear of some sort of takedown request from Nintendo. Luckily, there are still many posts available for users to see from the experience.

There is also a Mario Cafe at Universal Studios Japan with extra merchandise options for people to buy, so it seems fans will have a lot of good options when they get the chance to visit. Hopefully, when everything opens back up, the public will be able to enjoy this experience fully.
