With Destiny 2 transitioning into Season 13 of its roadmap, Bungie will be making several changes to the game by the time the update arrives. One of those changes includes changing Destiny 2's vendor rewards structure for the next season, and there will be several more changes on the way.

As part of Season 13, Bungie will be adding loot from the Moon and Dreaming City back into their loot pools in Destiny 2. According to the update, Bungie's adding these changes to the game based on player feedback gathered during the Beyond Light expansion's launch. Specifically, rewards found in the Moon and Dreaming City locations, including gear that's being added into Destiny 2.

Bungie's Reward Area Lead Justin Dazet provides more details on Destiny 2's loot rewards, stating that the developer is making these changes to preserve the locations' relevancy; specifically, their current end-game activities. Notably, specific activities and events where re-issues are acquired will lean more into rewarding players with reissued gear instead of capped gear. However, the exact weighting mechanisms that will determine this factor will vary from each other.

For example, if players already obtained an infusion capped weapon in the Dreaming City, then the location will not drop it for them again. Dazet also listed some of the weapons and gear that players will see in the new Season. The first is the re-issued Dreaming City Reverie Dawn and the Dreambone Armor from the Moon, and both weapons will drop with high stats. The next is a set of 4 reissued weapons from the Dreaming City with new Perk Pools: Waking Vigil, Sleepless, Vouchsafe, and Retold Tale earned in the Shattered Throne dungeon.

The last set consists of 4 reissued weapons found on the Moon in Destiny 2: Heretic, Blasphemer, Apostate, and Premonition earned only in the Pit of Heresy. Like the previous set, these weapons will also include new Perk Pools to them. The update will also be expanding the Lost Sector Legend and Master rotation to 4 Moon sectors: K1 Logistics, K1 Communication, K1 Crew Quarters, and K1 Revelation.

With these changes, not every gear or Legendary reward source will be kept up-to-date for the duration of these locations' availability. However, Bungie believes that there's value in updating specific activity drops that will add more relevancy to the locations as well as provide players more options for spending their time in Destiny 2 and expanding their arsenal in the game.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
