A partnership between Mediatonic's battle royale Fall Guys and the first-person shooter Doom is an odd couple indeed, but then again Fall Guys embraces that manner of oddity. This past week Mediatonic teased a round of upcoming skins based on characters from Doom, but only one of three was shown. Now the full selection of Doom-inspired Fall Guys skins has been revealed. Expect to start seeing Cacodemons alongside the rest of the Fall Guys beans soon.
There will be three Doom skins added to Fall Guys overall, as revealed in a brand new trailer shared by Mediatonic earlier today. Two of the skins are based on Doom's monsters. The first is a one-eyed Cacodemon and the second appears to be a Cyberdemon, though its pig nose and bug-eyes make it somewhat less threatening overall. The third skin is exactly what Doom fans would expect. It's the Doomslayer themself, as based on the more modernized armor from the recent Doom reboot.
According to the announcement trailer, the three Doom skins will be available in Fall Guys starting January 12. Further, they'll only be available for a limited time. It isn't explicitly made clear whether the Doom skins will be available in-game with crowns or if they're premium. Fall Guys players can probably assume that they'll be bought with crown currency, though.
Fall Guys continues to embrace the absurdity of its premise. The beans started by wearing orange and dinosaur costumes, only to have a variety of indie game skins added, too. Now, in Season 3, not only have skins for content creators like Ninja and MrBeast been added, but Doom skins will soon be a part of the game, too. It's probably only going to get weirder from here.
