Using the Gunsmith system in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War allows players to raise important stats and fully customize any weapon of their choice. Using the many attachment options, players can edit damage, accuracy, and movement speed by simply adding or removing them from the weapon. With full stats now available on each gun, fans are noticing some interesting Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapon loadouts with unintended side effects.

When Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launched, many fans criticized the game for having lackluster attachments. From weapon upgrades that are worse the later they are earned to attachments that barely affect the gun at all, players were easily frustrated with the system. Several patches later, and fans are finally finding a balance when it comes to creating weapon loadouts.

In a post on Reddit created by champybaby, an image clearly shows an interesting side effect to the Infiltrator Grip on the Krig 6. As players scan through the numbers, this fan quickly noticed that the movement speed number has far exceeded the sprinting move speed. Although it is only a .39 difference between the two, fans are calling this an obvious bug, but it does raise an interesting question when it comes to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and its attachment balancing.

It was first noticed by the Call of Duty: Warzone community shortly after the Season 1 integration. When players loaded in to compare the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapons to Call of Duty: Warzone's, many fans noticed that the attachments either gave barely any bonuses or were substantially weaker compared to their Modern Warfare counterparts.

Speed, damage increases, and recoil reduction were all over the board, in comparison, with almost no pattern. As fans looked closer at the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War attachment options, many players started to comment that the numbers felt arbitrarily placed.

Since then, the attachment has been updated, but as a player in the Reddit feeds comment section noted, the number is obviously bugged. The assumption on this glitch is that the actual sprint speed adjusted accordingly; it just is not listed in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's information tab. If this is true, it only echoes the community feeling that many attachments feel rushed rather then carefully balanced.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
