Warframe has arrived in the Epic Games Store. Digital Extreme's online shooter has been enjoyed on many platforms, and as it joins the PC storefront Epic Games Store, Warframe comes with some additional goodies.

Warframe is a free-to-play online co-op shooter that first launched in 2013.  Even after launching seven years ago, the game is still going strong and receiving fresh content. As it joins the Epic Games Store, players can also pick up a free weapons bundle that is a nod to Unreal Tournament (an Epic Games' developed title). Users have until December 24th at 11:59pm ET to take advantage of the free bundle.

Unreal Tournament has some classic weapons, like the Drakgoon, Ogris, and Stahlta. Those three are headed to Warframe via skins for the Rocket Launcher, Flak Cannon, and Shock Rifle. The free bundle also comes with an Essential Critical Chance Mod Bundle and an Affinity Booster. Although the bundle is apparently coming to consoles at a later point, it won't be ready in time for Warframe on the PS5, for example, so the first place that players can enjoy the content is via the Epic Games Store.

It is rather impressive to see Warframe continuing to hold its place within an ever-growing competition from games as a service style titles. It could be that part of the success is that the game continues to find homes on every platform it can, with even the next-generation version of Warframe getting some nice enhancements. With it being available to play almost anywhere and being free, it is easy to simply give Warframe a try, and perhaps get hooked.

Warframe is free-to-play for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, and will be available on November 26 for PS5 and “soon” for Xbox Series X.
