More than a year has passed since The Outer Worlds debuted to awards and plenty of acclaim for one of the most highly-praised RPGs of recent years, which is evidently enough time for publisher Private Division to release a brand new “Board-Approved Bundle” for the game

Starting today, this content-ladened edition of Obsidian’s latest role-player, which sports both the base game and its expansion pass, is available to purchase on PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, priced at $79.99 (no word yet on whether it will be released for PC and Switch). That’s $5 less than the combined price of the two separately, and while that might still be far from the best deal The Outer Worlds has received, it’s still a deal that should appeal to would-be players.

Since the expansion pass is included in the bundle, this single purchase grants immediate access to The Outer Worlds' first expansion, Peril on Gorgon, which was released back in September, and will also grant access to the next expansion, Murder on Eridanos. Not much is known about the add-on yet, but Obsidian has confirmed that it will be out sometime in 2021, and if a few clues are any indication, it looks like the trip to Eridanos could have players exploring a swampy wasteland.

While Murder on Eridanos is currently the last official piece of Outer Worlds content slated to come out, it might not be the last fans see from the IP. There are rumors that a sequel to The Outer Worlds is in pre-production, which, given the warm reception and strong sales of the first game, sounds like a definite possibility. At any rate, the release of the Board-Approved Bundle proves that Obsidian and Private Division aren’t done with their Fallout-esque sci-fi adventure just yet.

The Outer Worlds is available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
