Dauntless is about to receive one of its biggest updates yet. New areas to explore, an overhaul to the progression system, weapon changes, a fresh hunt pass, and more are all headed to the co-op action role-playing game developed by Phoenix Labs and Iron Galaxy. Dauntless continues to go strong after being in beta from starting in 2018 and releasing in 2019.

Considered by many as one of the best RPGs of 2019, Dauntless is a beast hunting game similar to Monster Hunter that focuses on quick combat and co-op play. The title has received multiple updates since it launched, but the Dauntless Reforged expansion is reinventing the game in many ways.

Dauntless Reforged is a massive expansion that adds 18 new islands to explore, all with varying biomes and feels. The new Hunting Grounds will provide snowy woodlands, desolate deserts, and more to traverse and hunt down Behemoths with friends in Dauntless. The update also sees an overhaul to the progression system that allows players to unlock hunt types, brand new locations, weapon mods, and passive buffs. The new branching progression system is called The Slayer's Path.

A new Hunt Pass is also a part of this Dauntless expansion called The Cold Front Hunt Pass. Players can look forward to donning the equipment of the Frost Wardens with new sets of armor, quest chains, and more. This major update adds more to an already well-received Dauntless, providing more to do in this free-to-play RPG. Players will be able to start having fun with Dauntless Reforged on December 3, 2020.

Dauntless is out now for PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
