For gamers who love the Caped Crusader, there are now more ways to play Batman games. GOG (formally known as Good Old Games) has a slew of Batman titles that are available for purchase, and the Batman: Arkham series highlights the list.

For decades now, The Dark Knight has been one of the most beloved superheroes and pop-culture icons. His comics, tv shows, and movies have resonated with fans all over the world. The Batman video games have also been a treat, with the Batman: Arkham series of games becoming the definition of what comic book video games can be when the series first launched in 2009.

GOG is a digital distributor that focuses on releasing DRM free games old and new to the public. While purchasing games digitally can be a bit nerve-wracking sometimes, with the idea that the game could be taken away from the customer with a license agreement ending or the service shutting down. GOG, which often has sales, allows players to purchase DRM free games. The latest addition happens to be multiple Batman games.

For the Arkham games, all of the mainline entries are available now. 2009's Batman: Arkham Asylum, 2011's Batman: Arkham City, 2013's Batman: Arkham Origins, and 2015's Batman: Arkham Knight are all available on GOG. With the exception of Batman: Arkham Origins, each of these games was developed by RockStready, which is currently working on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

That is not all of the Batman games that are now on GOG, however. LEGO Batman: The Video Game and Batman: The Telltale Series can also be purchased through the digital distributor. The latter being intriguing as it was one of Telltale's last games before its perplexing closure and subsequent rebirth.

When it comes to high-quality Batman games, it is tough to find a better list than the one that GOG now has available for purchase. Between the great stories, the smooth stealth ad combat, the exploratory nature of the games, and the Easter eggs everywhere, the Batman: Arkham games alone are worth playing for anyone who hasn't yet tried them. What's even better is that these games will keep fans occupied for a long while, considering the fact that it doesn't look like a new Batman: Arkham game will be released any time soon. The closest thing to these games appears to be the recently announced Gotham Knights, an entry into the Batman world that looks to take elements from the Arkham games, but isn't a part of that universe.
