Alternate history RTS Iron Harvest's Rusviet Revolution campaign DLC out in December
Limited-time demo now available too.
Alternate history RTS Iron Harvest will be expanding its campaign on 17th December with the launch of its new Rusviet Revolution DLC on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Store.
Iron Harvest, which has been available on PC since September, unfolds in the alternate reality of 1920+, Polish artist Jakub Różalski's war-ravaged world of picturesque European hamlets and smog-cloaked towns, where huge dieselpunk death-mechs dominate the skyline.
The game's alternate history take on the much-loved Company of Heroes RTS formula has been generally well-received, and developer King Arts Games' Rusviet Revolution DLC will expand its solo component (the base game also includes multiplayer) with four new single-player-focussed, but co-op-enabled, maps centred on the Rusviet people's uprising against the Tsar.
Iron Harvest's Rusviet Revolution DLC will be free to Kickstarter backers and Digital Deluxe edition owners, and will be priced at €3.99 (around £3.60) for everyone else.
Those intrigued by Iron Harvest's premise can currently check it out via a limited-time demo on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Store, which features an introduction to the campaign, and well as several Skirmish and Challenge maps - pitting solo or co-op players against AI opponents - and a taste of competitive 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 multiplayer. It'll remain available until 1st December.
Iron Harvest has also just received a free new mode, Drop Zone, which is playable on all skirmish/multiplayer maps in Ranked, Quick, and Custom matches. This sees players racing to gather Victory Points from stockpiles as they're air-dropped onto the map, and more details - plus a few other bits of news - can be found in King Arts' latest blog post.
